wait till you get rid of the tickets. I went with State Farm with a very ool chick who helped me get my license stuff straightened out(said i had a driving with suspended when i didn't).
but saving 163/month is HUGE!!! hell i only pay 83/month for the equinox, camaro, and $25,000 in renter's insurance

Damn! learn how to drive! :rolf I also have progressive. Going from Unitrin to Progressive a couple of years ago, I saved our whole family (4 drivers) $1500 per 6mo. I pay about $7-800 for six mo. for my four cars. Not bad for a 23 year old!

Good luck with the small companys. They dont want to pay out they will **** you around for ever to get a claim settled. Where as american family is so large its not a big deal and they pay it and get it over with.

But as with any insurance company "African Family" included they will drop you like a hot potato when you make a couple of claims in less than a year and if they see your wonderful driving record they will pop you for that as well.
BTW i got screwed around for several months by African Family before they would pay me the true value of my stolen car even though the car had been appraised.:fire

I had a claim on my Progressive, I totaled a car, in two weeks I had a check for more than what was street value on the car. Most of the wait was getting Toyota to accept the payout check and issuing the title to Progressive.
