Anyone on here going to be in the show this year? I entered but I haven't heard back yet so I was sorta wondering if anyone had heard? Regardless if you go remember to spend lots of money at the Children's hospital pinstriper's auction! :thumbsup

lets play the game we did in the old buildings....when we had our cars in the show...we went looking for rust and bondo......and pointing it out...hell one year i guy parked his firebird and slamed the door ...and a big , i mean big chunk of bondo feel out..he had to turn the car around.....and one year joe made a guy cover his running boards up with rugs so the rust and holes weren't showing...the show has gotton better in that way though...he dosen't let that much junk pass by...

I'm amazed that it's going to fill both buildings. I just hope they weren't turning away decent old metal for some crap that you can do down to the dealer and see. Taking a Charger, Mustang, or the like and tinting the windows doesn't make it WOW worthy IMO... I'm not referring to new cars like Coop's that are heavily modified and very Custom so don't read into it like that. Cars like that are very show worthy.. stock cars that just have tint, however, don't belong.

I was a bit upset that there were no "four rings of satan" cars there.

I went with my old man. I don't know what he thought of it since he knows just about nothing about cars. I clarified that the numbers on the engine represented cubic inches and that the numbers for the rear end were gear ratios.

I think he liked that orange caddy with the big fins.

That was a good show!

yea the 5.00 parking fee does suck...my son and i were there all three days..and i have to say there were alot of cars there this year yes with all the clubs....but some of the club cars....give me a break...granted they were club cars....but a woody pinto wagon..the yellow flamed monza.....yea ..glad i saw those cars.......this year i think the show was a let down...i've been going to the shows or have entered a car since 1978......and were not drawing the big name I.S.C.A. show circuit cars with the 20x20 displays like we use to...and this year the show was a 1 star rated show...i can remember when it was a 3 star...that shows you something right there.....but i did run into alot of people i haven't seen in awhile...i just think joe should weed threw the club cars a little better.granted they are a club...but if you don't have enough good looking cars to make the display , make it a little smaller ...from the past all you need is four cars for a club display...unless joe changed that rule..BCSM club display was great as always...waukesha old car club great as well , losers had a good display....but a few of the others .....not worth it..the model cars looked better..i think if you took a poll you would find that alot of people were disappointed in this years show...JMO....Granted most of you will say what does he know he drives a taurus.....and you would be right...but i had 2 I.S.C.A. show cars that i showed in different cities and states...and helped build 2 other I.S.C.A. show cars in the last 8 years since i sold mine.....but ...you can be your own judge....i went...i saw ..i had a good time......so that matters for something.....JMO

Personally I was more impressed with the show then I have been in past years. I didn't get to go last year, but the year before I walked in in under an hour. For $12 I think you could atleast spend 2 hours there without being too bored. I agree theres some cars that don't belong, but different strokes for different folks. I'm sure there were lots of people not interested in my car, much like I didn't have too much interest in the chormed out low rider on the South end. But theres a group of people who dig both of those things. I'd rather see a show filled with cars people actually built themselves and maybe not perfect then a ton of 1 car displays with signs in front of them that the owners never turned a screw to build. It doesn't impress me to see a sign in front of the car stating:
Paint by XXXX inc.
Interior by YYYYY inc.
Engine by ZZZZZ inc.
etc....

If you really want to feel ripped off you should have went to the golf show in one of the other buildings. $8 to look at used equipment, and knockoffs. Man did I feel like a sucker paying for that.

i thought the show was much better this year than previous years i have been. still there are some questionable entries, but everyone has there own tast i will never put a car down if it was built with lots of care by the owner. also it sux that guys win the big stuff when they havent turned a single bolt on the car themselves, but hey when your rich you dont have to lolol
