I just can't get over the Bang for the buck factor with the Z06. Ferrari, Porsche, lamborgini, lotus need to step their game up.

The guy in the 430 couldn't drive the 430. He was always too late on the power and taking the turns waaay too slow. He also braked too early.

A better driver would have made it closer, but if the 430 could do better, the z could have done the same. The z weighs 60 lbs less and has about 15 more hp.

The 430 is the better car on a winding track because it has the engine in back and is a bit tail heavy. I think the z is about 50/50 weight distribution. Adding what I have heard from so many racers as well as my own experiences, the engine in back is your friend in the twisties.

i would take the 430 and sell it and by 3 ZO6's and have enough left over for the hankerchiefs, paper and pens i would be handing to the euro competition. so they could write down all the excuses why my american car beat them why they sit and cry.

still doesnt explain why the Z pulled HARD in the straighaway with both drivers at wot.

Lol i bet its something to do with twice the engine displacment hahahaahah I mean that Vette pulls like the 430 hits the brakes in the straight away.

In the last GM high tech mag they tested a lambo gallardo and a F430 head to head with a stock Z06.

The Z06 ran 11.82 @ 121, the 430 went 12.98 @ 115 and the lambo went 13.11 @ 113.

Now at the track if u ever had a 115 mph trap speed car, and u racd a 120 mph plus car... you know that other car would pass you at a pretty mean clip. Which explains the Z06 pulling like a raped ape in the straights.

While the e/t is right on for the Z06, mph is a little slow... They normally go 124. And the fastest mph stock one recorded went 128. Thats 475 RWHP at work.
