A nightcap of holiday cheer proved costly for a New Berlin man.
The man met a woman in a Milwaukee bar in the early morning hours on Sunday and took her home to his apartment in the 1400 block of South Carriage Lane, where the woman insisted the two have a drink of rum before bed, police said.
He went to bed with her and that's the last he remembers until he awoke about 11 a.m. She was gone, along with his 2002 Chrysler Sebring worth $12,000; his wallet containing $1,000 in cash and his $50 cell phone, police said.
The man told police he suspects the woman put something in his drink.
