Im going to try to get some $$ together and rebuild the head of my motor stronger. Now that Im working steady again. Tune it, and try put the car into the 11s on 93 oct and Drag Radials.

Motor is out right now..So a long way to go.:stare

Then fixing some minor body issues, refurbish the interior and make it look pretty decent. Go with 3.73-4.10 gears in the rear, 727 auto, and drop in a 440 that I've got on an engine stand from my brothers old charger...and later a 500ci 440....and then enjoy.

Well, I kinda messed up the block of the engine that was in the Z. At this point in time I don't think I want to put money into it only to have to redo it next year the way I want it. Instead of a slight hone and new pistons to get rid of that annoying piston slap, i'd rather just save and make it a big cube engine. So right now, i have a stock shortblock going in and putting a cam in it. I'll put my heads on it to see how it does, otherwise i'll put the stock heads on it if i can find a pair for cheap. Gotta use what you have. Probably have my ported heads flowed and checked out, then have a cam ground to match it. Not that much more expensive to do.

I sold the TH350 setup for the car. i realy don't know what i want to do. I had thought about a powerglide in the car, but it's too heavy and won't make enough power to really make it worthwhile. So i'll find a cheap Th400 to use and a TCI converter and have at it. No point in changing gears, although i probably could put he 4.30's back in that I have laying around.

Suspension, i'm gonna have a short style torque arm put on the car compared to what i did have. just wasn't enough adjustments on the current one since the tranny crossmember got in it's way of adjusting instant center.

i am selling the whole wheel/tire setup as well. want to go with something a bit different. also planning on narrowing the rear end a bit to get some deeper dish wheels.

i need new headlights instead of the classic "hazed" ones i'm known for, haha.

and i need a new front bumper cover. i'd also like to clean up some things on the inside, and with the new NHRA rules coming into play, a 6pt roll bar will be needed.

so that's my plans:)

plan on doing some head work (Weak part)
plan on doing the regular turbo bolt ons
GT30R that i have a lead on through a friend
going to try finding a LSD for the car
plan on getting a new drivers seat lol
do some suspension work
and do some body work and get it painted (MAYBE)

Nova got it all stripped just Needs to get the body work done and painted over winter here and then put back together hopefully im april'ish.

im hoping to find a block and start building.....atleast.40 0ver....Je or Eagle for the bottom end....stock head with a valve job....some 880 inj......a big FP turbo..deciding on what one..a big FMIC....a TRE Tranny......some bigger tires and rims(still looking)...DSMLink...Ported 2G manifold...im going for low 12's high 11's by End of 2007 season..obviously there's more to it..but thats just a basic rundown...alteast 3k in stuff mentioned.

the silver car gets the refresher course.... it needs new axles.. it needs a clutch... it needs a good going through of the engine... it needs a good going through of the fuel system... and the suspension needs some attention(both front struts are believed to be leaking :( )

Brake$ and aerodynamics. I have a rear brake setup from the jap only 99 and newer "RZ" model rx7's with 12.4" 2 piece rotors. The fronts will be a custom 13 x 1.125 2 piece rotor setup with dedicated 3" brake ducts. This thing should stop like a mofo, but my drag wheels will no longer fit, oh well.

My comfy leather seats will be replaced for some lightweight frp buckets. This plus a few other things should get my car down to well under 2700 lbs.

The 99 style front bumper is being replaced with a mazdaspeed gtc piece and undertray. As much as I hate to do it, the car needs a wing. The car feels pretty light above 140. Not sure what I want to do there yet.

Going to find out what's wrong with the Bu, Nasty knocking at idel about 3 knock per second, I'm hoping it's a cracked flywheel but I won't find out until this spring when I tear it down.

If it's a rod knock, rebuild to 496 (4.25 Stroke X .60 Overbore) I think??? 10.5:1 Compression. Plus some juice.

But if it's the flywheel I'll replace that and go with the Vortech S/C @10 psi and see what kind of power I can put down.

I figure either way I'm looking to spend somewhere in the $4000 range.
