Does anyone on here do basic welding on exhaust? I'd prefer not to have a shop do it as they might charge more than its worth or try to sell a part to make more profit.

What needs welding is my 90' LeSabre, where the cat slips into the y-pipe has rusted off. I currently have a band clamp which is helping keep it quiet but its still loud and not fixed *properly*. I'm not willing to replace the cat as its pricey, the cat itself is fine(just the 1/2 inch of pipe that rusted in front) plus....this is a winter beater :goof . Just need it welded back to the y-pipe, IMO it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If anyone is willing, let me know :) .

If nobody can help you out, I'm sure Dennis at Midas (hwy 100 and Grange-ish) will help you out for a couple bucks.

He fixed one of my headers very nicely- he'll be able to take care of you.
