MY brothers friend has this car and he is looking at buying a house with his girlfriend he said all i have to do is take over the payments cause he doesn't wnat to make payments on a 05 Explorer and this as well as a house.
Remain amount on the loan is just shy for 14K i was seeing what you guys think. it has 52K mile 6speed i forgot the year 01 or 02? Black leather. it has the SLP 375hp package. just let me know what you guys think. he said depending on if how much the house payments are he might keep the car as well so it's not 100% sure.

Well by the wheels on it, its a 2000 or older. The 375HP package is an SLP aftermarket deal, not factory installed.

The highest SLP factory installed HP package was 345, lid and catback combo.

Looks like a nice, clean car... few miles on it though... Gonna need rear tires, they are wore pretty flat, not horrible but i can notice in the picture by how "square" the tire looks.

Im not feeling the silver hood inserts or the red, reflective ram air stickers... but that is personal preference.

Nice sharp, clean car to have fun with. It will now cost lots to mod over what it has currently.

52K on it isnt bad at all, considering what you find for sale out there. The car looks fuggin tits. I say scoop it up and make it yours. Save up before you get it and dump as much money on it to get rid of the loan to make it truly yours.

I can vouch they are awesome cars, since I got mine a few months back I couldnt have been happier. DO IT!!!!!:headbang

damn your a bad man lol.... do you know what SLP does to the car to make 375hp? and i kindda knew it would need new tires (D/R most likly) the silver hood inserts aren't that big of a deal to me i can live with it. also any pointers as what to get for in besides tires and the bottle if i buy it? kindda new to actually planning on doing a V8/LS1 setup lol

SLP didnt install it, the current owner or previous installed the myriad of parts below:

Some of which is a good foundation to start with, others will would get scrapped as major mods would come into the picture.

Dont even mess with a bottle unless its a 100 shot or less, the engine vitals needs more supervision than a baby above that and is too much work for most. If CONSTANT supervision is not taken, it will grenade.

If you want it to really hook? mickey T D/R's are as close as you will get, but the stock rear end will not put up with any kinda launches on those tires for long, nor will the stock clutch.

But my advise is, if you dont want to get into cams, tuning, rear end, clutch, etc.... enjoy it as a high 12 sec car and leave it alone

Yeah the rear end is a boat anchor... The tranny's are tough for the most part. My tranny is virtually stock and lasted through 10.19's w/o blowing up, so something is to be said for the T56.

It's a very pretty car, it would be a great driver.

Pretty car, I would think it's worth $14k but haven't followed the market at all, it is a really bad time of year to sell.......

Sure you wouldn't rather have a red 2000 SS?.......:shades

Yeah the rear end is a boat anchor...
Naw...it's too light to be a "boat anchor"...it's more like a paper weight.:goof
