Go Carting Anyone

Yesterday for my sons birthday we went to west bend for indoor go carting....what a frecken blast, and these things fly pretty good...i think we should get a group together and hit the place on a weekend....there were 5 of us..3 kids 2 adults the kids had 3 turns each and the adults had 2 turns each 60.00....like 15 laps each turn and your timed.....to get rid of the winter blues we could go and pound the crap out of these carts.......and they have BEER, FULL BAR and food...i think the place is called STUCKEYS...it's off of 33 by the piggly wiggly, over by coops house.......what do ya think...?

I have been there. They have 3 settings. slow, med, fast. I rode on Med. and they move pretty good. I guess they only use high for the racing leagues they have. I thought they went out of business though.

nope , still open and going strong the lady said...you start out on med, if you qualify fast enough, they will put you on the fast setting....hell, with the hot dogs we have here that should be no problem to get the fast setting....right RON?...i think it would be a blast to do, then when were done , go to coops for more beer

ok, this is what i just got from them for a group rate....10 rides=60.00
thats 6.00 per person, so we need a least 10 people to go for that price, 20 people would be the same price, but 15 people would change the price per person....
so lets set a date that we all can agree on then a list of for sure people to go....
weekend of jan 12th-14th is out for me..world of wheels have to baby sit a car that weekend.............
so lets pull a date and go from there, looks like a lot of people have interest in this little fun day............

It's a 35 minute drive for me. I'm sure it would still be a good time, but the track seems pretty simple. I should check out CIR someday, even though it's an hour and a half drive.

Last winter, the MN F-body club had an event at a place in MN called Thunder Alley. It was fun, you got printed sheets of everyones time.

At their last facility before they moved... my brother and I were racing side by side, and we were rubbin of course. He tapped me a lil too hard and I hit a concrete pillar full speed. It hurt bad. And I broke 4 welds on the gokart frame :headbang :banana1:

Just earlier today, I went to Chicago Indoor Racing. That was a blast, but their cars a gas powered and use Honda 5 hp engines. I don't know how an electric car would compete, but I bet it would be very close or even. Out of 17, I kept qualifying 3rd. In our final race, I managed to stay in third till another driver spun me out. 1st and 2nd were working together to keep me an a few others out of the front.

I might be going to run at the Buffalo Grove track that night. There's a big once-a-month league (KIRL) down there and a few of my friends who race stock cars go do it and asked me to give it a try.

I want to race and be competetive, but I really cannot do that in ITA without big $$$. Outside of Formula Ford, Formula 500, and Club Ford, all of the tightly regulated (no cheaters) categories which I could afford are go karts.

you know Wayne, I was just thinking about that earlier today. I'm wondering if we could reserve the place for a few hours just for BCM. I'm sure everyone is going to run at least a couple of times, we're going to want to race together, and we probably wont want to wait in long lines with the "common folk".
What do you think?
EDIT- I just got off the phone with Stocky's, we could reserve the place all to ourselves; here's the breakdown. $300 per hour, 40 races min. per hour (10 karts at a time, four 10minute races in that hour). That comes out to $7.50 per ride.
