i hope im not the only redneck here who icefishses....its getting that time of the year..eagle lake had a skim of ice on it this morning..started picking up tip-ups.going to gander mountain this next week...i can already smell burning wood and Venacin(Sp?)..BCM ice fishing outing???:shades we could grillout on the lake(when it freezes.)

we have a heated permanent shanty with a wood burner..fits 5 comfortably..i hope i dont blow up the ATV like last year.
And Eagle lake produces Good Walleye

na its perfectly safe.you just have to know how thick the ice is in your area.as long as its 6 inches your fine

I used to go out on spring and phantom lake all the time. Just used the little rods though, goin for bluegills/crappie/perch. Never used a tip-up bofore.

i go every yearon delavan lake. it will be nicer this year with a snowmobile. mostly jig for perch and set up a tip up or two for northern. i just use an old collapsable tarp shack with a propane heater. does the job

there is more to it...the food.Soda:shades ...driving the fourwheeler/or snowmobile on the lake....running for tipups..pulling a 30 inch northern out of a 12" hole

hmmm ice fishing in a shantee..whats not to love? fishing with out the weather in a heated small house looking at tittie mags and playing cards while sippin down beer. its a mans dream!!!
