What a way for winter to hit! Everybody be safe on the roads and give yourself plenty of time. They are calling this a Blizzard! With 60+ minute drives to pretty much anywhere.

So you guys with the mullet TA's keep the driving to a minimum. J/K Guys! But if anyone needs a pull out of the snow or anything, Let me know!:thumbsup

Hope Everyone is safe and well!

Jake

I got where I needed to go just fine -- but then again,

I do have the Mexico 4-runner! :headbang

Fun as hell! Unfortunately, no one else on the roads like it when I drive through the snow banks. :crying

Either way, if you have a regular car...Please drive safe, there are a ridiculous number of drivers going WAY TOO FAST for conditions in their navigators and F-150's w/2WD, etc.

WTMJ made a point to say "many" Camaro like cars are in the ditch. Some guy called in and mentioned it as well. When Charlie Sykes asked him whether it was rear or front wheel drive, the dummy didnt know.......Maybe he shouldn't be on the road then either....LOL...

One of my co-workers just arrived from the office -- 2.5 hours to go from West Bend to Bluemound&Barker exit.

It took him an hour to go from the zoo interchange to the top of the hill before moreland.

Semis were sliding backwards up the hill. :wow

DRIVE SAFE! Or just don't drive at all.

Where do you normally go?

Wilmount(Lake Geneva, by the IL border) got 16 inches of snow.

Still no snow here in the Twin Cities, just -9 wind chills.

I was out the door at 4:15 this morning. When you run the type of route I do, you can't miss work. I got to see a late 90's Buick on it's hood at 4:45 on 45 south around the North Ave exit. I was on the road from 5:30 till 12:30, no stopping for stiffs like me. However, a large truck with two tires per side makes it through a lot of snow. What pisses me off, is I have the smallest truck engine Chevy makes (of the LS series) so it goes NOWHERE in a hurry.

My day was delayed around 7:10 when I called school and found out that classes were cancelled.

I wanted to use the science building at school, so I headed out around 10:30. This was my first real experience with AWD, so I was really having a blast. Even with 5+ inches on the ground downtown, my wagon drove like my integra would in the rain.

I headed over by the stadium in search of some good parking lot, but they were all blocked off. I eventually found a Kohl's parking lot and did some kickin' donuts. It was fun till I kinda high-centered on a snow bank. It took me a minute to get moving again, so I thought enough of that and got some real donuts.

When I got to school, I took my backpack with me. I saw one of my professors, who looked surprized. He said "did you know that classes were cancelled?!?" I knew, but decided to have some fun and say "Are you serious!?!" The reaction was great, but I let him know quickly.

Road Kill Report:
2nd Gen Eclipse; 3 dodge neons (throw away cars anyway); Porsche Ceyanne on roof; Lexus RX300; old Sundance; gran Prix; Grand Am; SRT-4 (not listed with neons); Brand new Tahoe.

Many more people stuck.

I also got pulled over today for the first time in Mequon (speeding). I got a warning, but the officer told me that Mequon had 32 cars in ditches by 8:30 PM.

Can I get a Giggidy Giggidy for AWD (fine, 4WD too)!

Bring on more snow!!! I made so much money the past 2 days plowing driveways, shoveling/snowblowing sidewalks, it wasn't even funny. Then I came home to clear my own driveway with my 4wheeler and plow on it, then neighbors saw what I was doing and offered money for me to swing on over by them for a little clearing.

Do you work for a company or just have people that you plow for?

there is a guy I'm friends with that owns a small landscaping company. He plows all his summer accounts in winter time. He has about 50 of them. 5 plow trucks, one skid steer loader. We keep busy...
