I'm just praying the snowboard season is short, and we can get back to racing. Right this moment, I can't say I'd rather being doing one or the other.

I just got my LX running today. It's a long time until April... :(

I would love to get to the track yet and get some more seat time with mine, but I washed and waxed it and put it under cover today.

Yea, it's a two-way street though Chris. At least I know the motor runs fine and I did get to drive it a little. Sort of like a teaser I guess. :D

Me too! Oh wait, I already had 5 tranny breaks this year -- I have to really change my union contract to no breaks. :rolf

I need a winter break as well --
*Need to redesign the fuel system a little
*Try a different Exhaust Manifold
*New race seats & Belt
*Install suspension bushings (full kit)
*Make new motor mounts and tranny mounts
*Save for Dogbox
*Install roll cage & Scattershield
*Lose some weight in the car -- hopefully at least 200# while retaining HVAC/Heater controls, cruise control, stereo, etc.
*Get different tires (Hakkapeliittas or Slicks)
*Fab up a new 3.5" or 4" exhaust (turbo-back)
*Dyno/Re-tune

Hopefully all of those things will be done by opening day 2007. Maybe by 2040 instead. By then they may have an indestructable transmission designed for my car.

They have one now, Turbo 400. I know you can make one fit. :thumbsup

I think that I will stay AWD. I think that a PPG dogbox gearset will look nice in it instead.

That would do the trick. PPG makes GOOOOD stuff. Ever contact the guys at Andrewtech Tim? They do wonders with the Subaru trannys....I think they have dabbled in the EVO trans as well. Pricey but good.

Well, I can get the gearset for around $6000, but then I have to modify my tranny to fit it, then also replace the broken front diff, and bellhousing from the last breakage. All in all it is around $7500 for the tranny.

Not including the upgraded input shaft, transfer case, or driveshaft. That puts it around $11-12K.

Sucks to be AWD.
