If anyone actually expected that the concert was actually happening, they weren't real GnR fans. lol

If I remember correctly the only original members are axel and the drummer. i agree with dave, slash was the only talent in that band.

only axl is left, he cancelled more shows than he's done in the last year prob. although the one in Seattle was justified, they wouldn't allow Alcohol on stage. axl said fork that

Velvet Revolver is basically the new GNR minus Axl.

They consist of Slash / Duff McKagan / Matt Sorum. (All 3 formerly of GNR)
Lead singer is Scott Weiland formerly of Stone Temple Pilots.
Also some 5th wheel named Dave Kushner.

Their debut cd sold pretty well actually.

To me it's not guns 'n roses if you only have one guy from the "real" band. Besides Axl's an asshat.:rolf

Just got back from their show in Minnesota. It was F@#$ing amazing. Concert started at 8 with Sebastian Bach who put on a great show. Helmet played for like 45 min. (they suck). 11:30 Guns takes the stage and open with Welcome to the Jungle. For those who say its not the same without Slash, Robin Fink from Nine Inch Nails is as good as if not better, in my opinon, than Slash. They played a bunch of their new songs, one of which is on the new Harley Davidson commercial. Concert ends with Paradise City at 2:10.... 20 minutes short of a 3hr set from Guns alone. A 6hr total concert. Definately worth the 50 bucks for the ticket. Sucks they skipped Milwaukee. Just an amazing experience... GnR's past cds suck compared to seeing the band live... one of the few bands that actually do (sound better live). Granted I never saw them in the 80's, but I haven't slept since 4:30 am yesterday and I'm still pumped from the concert so please forgive me.
