Hey, I'm trying to think of birthday gifts for my dad. I thought I black 05/06 GTO model would be perfect. Anyone know where to find a diecast car locally, or online?

So far, sportcraftcars has a black one for $96.95, and aqgarage has one for $97.15. Both are made by GMP.

A few other places have LSX GTOs, but none are black.

Try Greenfeild news and hobby on Layton. me and Nick (DSMDUDE) went there a few months ago and they seemed to have alot of models and what not.

Also look at Model Empire. They have a good selection.

Yea, I've bought a lot of stuff at Model Empire, it's near 72nd and Greenfield... They will have GTO's including the newer style.

People say they are expensive but... You can save a few bucks on E-Bay but then you pay shipping, have to wait, and have to hope you get one without damage. I bought one car on E-bay and the guy said it was "mint in the box" and when I got it, the car was badly scratched and appeared to have been played with by a kid...! At least at Model Empire, you can see firsthand what you are buying and no shipping charges.

Thanks for all the help. I called Model empire, and they have two 05s, but none are black. Greenfield news did not have a black one, and I think they changed their number from (414) 281-1800 to (262) 782-4332.

So far, the cheapest one online is by dave z diecast.

Man, I've called 8 hobby shops so far around Milwaukee and the Twin Cities. Hobby store owners are nice people, with good customer service.

if it's a diecast...pull it a part and repaint it to the color you want...
