Anyone know the difference between the 2.3L I4 in the Mazda 6 compared to the 2.3L I4 Turbo in the MazdaSpeed 6?? (or Mazda 3 compared to MazdaSpeed 3) I'm uh... Just curious... :shades

Realistically it might share the block and the crank, and that would probably be about it. The turbo motor is a direct injection motor, so the head has to be completely different with the injector located in the center of the combustion chamber...

the mazda speed car has over 100 more horsepower than the regular mazda6. i have the regular 4 banger. the speed six is also available with a 6 speed manual

I didn't ask your opinion on what to buy or not to buy. If I wanted someone's opinion, I would of asked for it. I asked if anyone knew what the Compression ratio was for a Mazda 2.3L I4.

And who ever said I was buying something? I already own 3 cars! I was just asking a simple question...

According to Mazda's website both the regular 6 and Mazdaspeed 6 are 9.7:1 compression.
