Stick with the opti, you'll learn how to take your car apart faster. ;)

i was having opti problems. i'm still on the originally with 60k. last month i got a brand new battery from my work for 20 bucks and i went to see if it would fit. didnt look like it would it would have been real tight. so when i was putting it in it knocked out my low coolant sensor and there went all the coolant. the next two weeks i barely drove cause it was sputering every where. no its fine. oh well

Did you let it sit for a couple of days to let some of the coolant dry up?

Since you have the vented opti, your intake tube should of sucked all the coolant out .

I heard some good stuff about Delteq, if you have the money and the time do it.

well the only things i need from them is the wiring and the ignition box. i can get the module, coils, and wires from my work its all in stock to. i get my discount to so its a little cheaper. about a $100

Well if your gonna do your own system, don't go with stock replacement parts, just get the good stuff and be done with it...

95 TA the Beast was running a Delteq if I remember correctly. You may want to pm him as he is an LT1 guru.

i have been running the delteq for about a year. it was super easy to install and i havent had any problems with it yet. i didnt have any problems with the opti beforehand so i cant say it fixed anything. but from what i understand it will lengthen the life of your current opti because it takes the high voltage part away from the opti.

yeah i'm still on the original opti (62k on it) but i want find a fix for it and i think the delteq is the way to go. my problem now is that when it idles after it warms up it has an intermittent mis to it causing it to a have a little shake. the car still runs good but i think it could run alot smoother. any ideads on what the could be?

Haven't had an LT1 in awhile but I know MSD was working on a sealed, billet Opti-placement with adjustable timing.

For Delteq ignition, or anything remotely relating to the LT1, Dennis is your man.
That sounds ghey, but its da troof...

i'm gonna stick with the opti for now. i'll just get the msd cap and rotor. i went to the dealer the other day for some stuff and i asked how much a cap would be, lol $350 something. what a joke i just laughed at the guy.
