I was going to go but a freelance gig came up at the last minute. Perhaps closing day I'll venture out. I hunt on my cousin's farm in Poynette (near madison) I shoot a .270 Wincester Model 70 with a 12x Leupold scope. I am sighted in at 200 yards.

I am hunting in Walworth county, where I go it's rifle again this year, so I am going to be going old school. 7.62x54r in Mosin Nagant M38 with 203 grn softpoints. My shoulder bruise from sighting it in is just going away now:goof
203's + steel buttplate + carbine + tshirt and light coat is like getting hit with the backside of an ax after 20 rounds off the bench:rolf

I am also bringing my Winchester 1300 Defender with 3" brennekes in case I am feeling shotgunny:D

I've got one of those rubber pads you can pick up anywhere for my Mosins. Works great, and I don't come home with a dead arm.

Yeah I've been meaning to get one but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll be all right I think since I haven't seen a deer yet.:goof

If you havent jumped on the K31 bandwagon yet, you need to. The best deal out there by far.

I hunted in Jump River, bought myself a new Remington 700 ADL this year. For the money can't beat the 700 series of rifles from Remington.

I didn't get to get up there this year with my dad being sick and all but usually I use my .300 win mag up in Necedah. I also go for the big deer around here(Sullivan, Waupon) they are slug only zones so I use a 11-87 with a hastings barrel and winchester XX sabots.

I've got a 1945 (no tag). Put on a Brownells clamp on mount and some glass I had laying around just to see how it can shoot. Shoots around 1 MOA with GP11. Longest I've shot it to is 300. Not bad for a $120!

Hunt on our family farm outside of Taylor, WI (between Eau Claire and LaCrosse - western Jackson County).

Shoot a Browning BAR in 7mm Rem. Mag. 3-9x40 scope. Nothing fancy, but puts big holes in whatever I shoot.

No luck opening weekend...except for a coyote passing by.

Dad called last night, shot a monster 10 pointer, get pics up when I get them.

I hunt in Clam Lake, WI I went this past weekend and got a little 3pointer. Now that I have some meat for the freezer its time to go after the big guy. I missed a huge 10 bow hunting that would have easily scored. I shoot a Remington .3006. I will be back up there this weekend to hopefully get another deer. Good luck to all.

Skunked. Guess I'll have to do some late season bowhunting if it stays this warm. I was seeing tons of nice bucks all bow season just out of range. They all got smart and went into hiding. :( Oh yeah... I have a bunch of weaponry but I took the Savage 7MM Rem Mag this year. Usually stuff just falls over when you shoot it with that rifle. I don't like to track... :D

My brother shoots a Savage stainless bolt in 7mm mag. Awesome gun!

Radisson, wi, like i said in the other thread. right by where SilverSRT hunts. didn't have any luck, a guy decided to plop down in a chair underneath my ladder stand(like 15 feet away) on sunday and took dumb shots at 3 different deer. blew my hunt pretty much. he was shooting like 150yds through the brush, good luck. i still use old reliable, a Marlin 30-30 Lever. small gun, but with 170 grain, it has knocked down everything i've shot at.

If it stays warm I dont think you will see many deer during the day. I hope it gets cold and a little snow on the ground to get these deer to move during the day.

Hunted up near Eau Claire. Got a couple does. Only saw one basket rack at about 250 yds out on my way to my stand opening morning. When in rifle country, I use a Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA in a .270 WSM. Shotgun country I use a 12 ga 870 Express Magnum shooting 3" sabots. Yea, the weather was nice, but too warm for deer hunting.
