Perhaps your question is "where can I get information on HTML?"

It's a little too complicated to explain free-form HTML in a post on a forum.

I would suggest you head over to Border's or some place like that and go to the computer book section and take your pick of several HTML books, find a comfy chair and start reading.

Most people nowadays don't free-form, they use "point and click" programs like Front Page or Dreamweaver to create web pages. I use several different programs as well as free-form HTML but I'd never be able to explain all I have learned about it in a post on a forum.

There's several coding languages anyway... HTML, DHTML, SHTML, PHP, CGI, JAVA, BHT and MSG... :D

There's also some HTML tutorials on the web. Google is your friend!

Just find a WYSIWYG editor, and it will do all the formatting for you.

Or download any web page, and you can take a look at the source code, alter a few things at a time to see the effects they have, and learn from there.
That's how I started 11yrs ago :)

I did my uncles web site and used MacroMedia Dreamweaver. You can get a free 30 day trial which I would assume would be enough to do one sight depending on what it is.

Very easy to use for me, hated microsoft's crap.
