I am heading down to Kenosha tomorrow night to a BW3 to check out their crowd before we pull the trigger for my store. Theres a lot of BW3's that have the events. I believe they are one of the few places that can legally show the PPV events to their customers. There was a link on the UFC site that shows all the places to view PPV events....but I cant find it.

I couldnt post but I am glad Mir got whopped, Stevenson continues to kick a$$, Munson...OVERRATED!! and Matt.....holy sh!t!! Any other fighter would have had the fight stopped long before they allowed that barrage to continue. It was almost like Big John was giving him extra time hoping he would defend. GSP looked on fire tonight, I think Hughes was prepared just not as well. Oh yeah, did I say Munson was overrated yet?

Oh yeah, Sylvia fought a great fight IMO. He was barely breathing heavy and Musnon looked beat form the 1st round. He could barely get Tim down, then when he did, he couldnt do anything with it. Then even when he had a chance Tim whopped his a$$ on the ground too. I think that was one of Tim's best fights yet.

After seeing how tired Matt got when he was fighting BJ....I knew GSP had a great chance. And then When they finally got to fight....Matt starts dropping his hands in the first round just like he always does when he wants to go to the ground...right then I knew it wasn't gonna be long. People don't take GSP seriously enough. The man has got it ALL. Stand up, grappling, ground game, kicks, knees, elbows, submissions...ALL. Hughes has got no excuse. He knew this fight was coming a LOOOOOOONG time ago. Plain and simple.... GSP > Hughes. Finally somebody exposes Hughes. The first fight GSP had the big fight jitters...not to mention Hughes barely got the tapout. 1/2 more second and it would have went another round. The fight was dead even until hughes pulled the arm bar at the last second.


Oh....and this fight should have been over at the end of the first round. That first knock down was a BIG reality check for Matt.

During the last round when exactly did Silvia try to finish Monsen off like he claimed in his post fight interview. I must have blinked and missed one of the two punches he threw that round. I agree about Matt getting housed in rnd 1. After that I knew he was losing in the 2nd round. GSP does have it all but I just dont like his attitude. I think you need a certain level of confidence to walk into a ring and get beat on but GSP just seems overly cocky and thinks nobody is as good as him. Look at his attitude towards BJP when they fought and BJ phunked him up good.

I think Franklin will be back better than before. I read that he tore his ankle tendon weeks before this fight, did you not notice the bruises and black eye before hand? Nothing about that fight was typical Ace. Round 2 will show his true potential I think. Rick is still ranked relatively high in mma rankings so there is more to him than that.

No fighter is ever 100%. They ALWAYS fight with injuries. Go watch the vid in the other thread. Rich dances around just fine until he starts to catch some knees. :)

A majority (99%) of the fighters out there are cocky. If you don't tell yourself that you are/can be the best fighter....you have no business even getting in there. You have to have an extreme amount of confidence....and with that will come cockiness. It's all part of the game....even part of Matt Hughes' game.

Whats weaker... a fighter like Monson trying to take down Silvia... Or Silvia dominating Monson on the ground (Monson's only chance of winning) and Silvia still not doing sh!t to put him away the entire fight. Silvia completely closed Monson's right eye and the left wasn't looking to good either, yet Silvia just danced around and did just enough to win the rounds. He could have easily put Monson away at anytime during that fight. No killer instinct.... that my friend, is weak.

Silvia never fights to finish a fight. Thats just how he is. He's mostly a 'reaction' fighter. He reacts to what the other fighter is doing. If the other fighter isn't doing much....well.....you have a very boring fight. Thats why I dont like watching his fights. But hey...whatever works.

Don't count Hughes out yet. Hughes hasn't really looked like he has been in good shape the past 3 or 4 fights. He won't take GSP lightly next time, it will be interesting to see. Possibly the fight of the year when it happens.
