I read on MSN that they don't think they will be going for as much as the XBox 360 did on Ebay because more than 80% of the buyers the first day won't be keeping them, they will be trying to flip them. Ebay is expecting a FLOOD of the PS3's. Cross your fingers that you make some loot

Simple economics. Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Blame the suckers who pay that much, not the sellers. Its not like the original buyers will be taking advantage of the retailers or Sony.

Yup, it's just the latest craze. If I get one at the BFE Walmart up north, you can bet your butt it will be on ebay as soon as I get home. We did it with the original xBox and were averaging like $150 a pop profit. Stores here had tons of them but other parts of the country experiences shortages. I felt no guilt.. :goof

Resistance: Fall of Man will blow you the **** away. This game alone is worth standing in line for two days. Trust me. I am not big on the Playstaion 3 yet, but this game is a MUST have.

Also, for everyone saying bring a friend and let them use your CC. Do NOT do that. It won't work. There is a solution to this. Go to where you are going to get your PS3 early, and get a gift card for the amount you will need, and give that to your friend to use. Problem solved. :thumbsup

Resistance is 1st person shooter, so it will do nothing for me. I hate those type of games. Graphics wise I was more blown away when Call of Duty came out for the 360. Most reviews I've seen on the game have been so-so.

I fall into the gamer who prefers fun games. Most of the new console stuff makes the games so complicated that they forgot to make them fun.

That's probably why I'll buy a Wii instead.

The only limitations I know of are the pre-sale limitations. There is no way they can regulate the sale of an actual item? Unless someone can prove otherwise. Day 2: Cold as hell sleeping and tons of noise. Trucks, people honking, etc.

I had a dream we called in an air strike and knocked out the power. We busted through the emergency doors and tried loading a 400lb pallet of PS3s into the back of our truck.

Who knows when the next shipment is. The demand will outweigh the shipments for at least a few weeks. They said the Xbox360 would get another shipment in by Xmas and I don't remember that ever happening. A lot of people that preordered the PS3 are going to get screwed yet again. My Bro preordered the Xbox in June, it came out in November, and he didn't get one until February or so. They always sell too many of the preorders and can't fill them.

I applied for a Target card and got a 10% off coupon. That saves me another $60 on the PS3 purchase.

A couple of my friends tried to get in line at some point today (thursday) at a Wal-Mart not in a very populated area, I forget where... They told me that they called that specific Wal-Mart and they were told that the tickets would be given out in a first come first serve on Friday at 7am just like the rest of the stores. But, when they went to try to get in line there was no one there and some store worker told them that they had 10 people already...... To my knowledge isnt "first come first served" mean that people are physically in line and they camp and stay there and that if they get out of line, poor them... I dunno this seemed kinda shady to me.

I was thinking the same thing but then I looked at the bidding history of the item itself and the history of the people bidding on the item and they are all legit. :stare

Some of them had 100's of posative feedback comments (the people bidding on the PS3) and one actually went for $5,200. Just nuts.:loser
