What's silly about the whole thing is this:

Why aren't those damn prosecutors filing charges against insurgents and their leaders who've killed and abused FAR more civillian iraqi's than anyone in the US? Why aren't THEY filing charges against osama bin laden? What about momar gadahfi?

The whole point is for leftist/activist prosecutors to try to tarnish the rep of US, and particularly conservative leaders (remember augusto pinochet of chile?). It's udder horseshit.

I think the diff is that finding Rumsfeld is easier. He is also high profile.

But then do you honestly think that there is NO moral distinction b/w Rumsfeld and, let's say, Osama bin Laden? Wouldn't one think that Rumsfeld is at the very least, "fighting the bad guys"?

If german prosecutors can't see the difference b/w Rummy and terrorist, then europe is in for a world of hurt

Oh, I completely agree with you, I am just saying that everyone knows where to go get Rummy, Osama is a different story.

The way we see things and here in the U.S. and the way a lot of the rest of the world views the U.S. are two starkly different things.

It's amazing how clueless some people are when it comes to identifying the real evil in the world. If the media in Europe is anything like our own i'm not surprised that they don't think very highly of us which is also amazing considering the attacks in London and Spain this year.
Europe is being infiltrated by muslims from Africa and the middle east and they will become the majority in the next twenty years allowing them to take over governments there.
Interesting story from a friend from Greece. He was telling me that they won't tolerate muslims there and if they try to build a mosque it will get burned down evry night. They have a long history of fighting with the Turks.
