Places to live

Ok when I become an apprentice I am going to start looking for places to move. I would really like to find a duplex or something like that. I really would like to stay out of an apartment complex.

Anyone have any ideas or good areas they know of that I can check out?

StAllis has alot of duplex's at a reasonable price...

Anywhere in Waukesha county(New Berlin, Muskego, Brookfield, Falls) is nice but also pricey...depends on what you are looking to spend.

The Waukesha area is nice for work....central location (just about 1/2 hour-45 min away from most jobs at the furthest)

just get something by the expressway too. make SURE you can afford the place by yourself. don't count on the girls money to help you pay rent. thats like the worst mistake you can make. at the most half of your check towards bills.

mine is like 80% of my checks but oh well i don't need to live large..

im not saying everywhere...but alot of places it is. all the hotels by 13th and college get robbed constantly. There are always shootings there, drug deals, hostage situations. All kinds of fun stuff.

I live around the south side of White Allis and there are a number of nice dups in the area. From 60th and Oklahoma to Lincoln and west to 84th st.
A friend just got a nice dup around 58th and KK parkway 2bedroom lower with huge living room and dining room with one spot in the garage for $650/mo.
If i see another one i'll point it out.
The better ones just put a sign in the front yard. I would recommend cruising around the area you would like to live in and scout for signs. These are landlords looking to avoid some of the riff raff you get from a ad in the paper.
