Do you have any old cards laying around? I have an account with Beckett grading to get prices online. Let me know if you have something you want looked up. Don't bother with cards that have damaged corners or creases and things the price drops dramaticly.

awesome! This thread has just inspired me to dig mine out and organize them better and store them away. Hopefully someday I can pass them down and somebody will appreciate them

If you have any valuable cards, worth more that $20 you should send them out to be graded either by PSA or Beckett Grading. They get professionaly looked at and sealed in a hard plastic case with their own nationally recognised serial number. It makes the cards worth a ton more. Plus they can't get damaged then. It is a good idea to protect your investment. Costs about $10-12 for one card. The more you send the cheaper it gets.

good tip. I have a lot of decently valuable cards I think??? Nothing that will fund the remodeling of my kitchen or the construction of a 3 car shed :rolf

Is a Mickey Mantle rookie card worth anything....?

'52 Topps #311 :goof heh, I'll never forget that, along with Honus Wagner's 1910 T206 tobacco card.

I still remember getting cello packs/rack packs from the early 80's at easter, and looking through all them at Cub Foods & Ben Franklin.
I used to wheel & deal at all the shows since I was 10, Gonzaga, Bowlero, Holiday Inn, etc.
I stopped in the early 90's when there was just too much shìt flooding the market.
A couple years ago I was going through all my stuff, was pleased to see a shìtload of Jeter/A-Rod rookies =D
This summer I blew about $500 on the Topps black wal-mart box craze, looking for Alex Gordon, never found one
I ended up buying random other packs/boxes, still do, dammit I'm back in the game :D

1994 Upper Deck SP Alex Rodriquez rookie? :D. I had a case of these cards for my x-mas present in 94’ and got the best one….IIRC its worth $50-80 and I’d love to sell it for a fair price.

Any more details on how to get cards graded? I have a few I might be willing to send out if need be.

I have a bunch of sets but they aren’t worth much, Topps from 87-91, Score from 88-91 and a few Topps Traded/Donruss the Rookies mini sets. Used to have every McGwire card until the insert craze got to be too much to keep track of around 94’-95’.

I have a ton of cards. Baseball, basketball, hockey, football, star wars, all kinds of shit. I have close to 20,000 cards. One of these days I need to go thru it and see what I have. Like Wikked, I stopped in the 90's. Waaay too many brands and variety.

There is a shop out by me in downtown waukesha. He has good turn around time. I can't remember the name. It is a corner store. Chad's collectables or something like that. The place in New Berlin is expensive if I remember right.

Happen to remember the name of the place in New Berlin? Any idea how much the price difference might be? Since I live in New Berlin I might be willing to pay more if its much closer.

It is the place on National and 124th. It is in the little strip mall there. I think he was only a couple of dollars higher. I wouldn't sell anything to him though. you will get more on e-bay.

The place in New Berlin is called 'Baseball Cards'. Last time I went in there they wouldn't buy anything I had except for a an autographed Sosa rookie card.

They werent even interested in my un-opened oversized Jordan cards in a sheet from way back in the day (I think I got them from a cereal box? Anybody know what I'm talkin about?).

I have a ton of cards, next time I go home I'll post a few more.
