Well, I got to the track and bolted on the slicks at about 5:40 today. The car did not seem to be running very well but what the hell I gave it a whirl. Did a small burnout and all the vitals looked good temp at 160 oil psi at 65 good to go. I ran her down the track and it just was not pulling well. I ran a 12.6 compared to a normal 11.6 n/a time. So I checked my timing and bumped it up to 34 degrees total. I ran again same e.t. something is definitely wrong. So i'm coming down the return road and check the gauges, THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE READ 0 PSI, oh shit. so, I immediately shut the car down. I towed it back to the pits. I pulled the line off the back of the o.p. gauge and cranked the car hoping That the gauge had broken. No such luck. when cranking the car no oil came out of the line. THe engine never made any bad noises going down the track or return road. Anyone ever seen a oil pump drive shaft break on a BBC? Hopefully I haven't done too much damage. Well the motor will probably be coming out tomorrow. So I guess I have all winter to fix it.
