BMW also has this technology.

My inlaw's 760LI has autodrive which actually drives the car when you are on the hwy. You can let go of the wheel and it will stay within the markers and maintain a perfect distance between the cars on all sides of you. Sick lil bastard too, but it doesnt park for you.

not to highjack but there isnt even a shifter. When you get to a redlight, it automatically goes into park after you stop and dings you when its time for it to change to green unless you step on the gas like at a turn.

If there's no shifter, how do you go into reverse or neutral?
Do you just speak aloud, and your rich financial voice activates the gearbox? :goof

It does have voice recognition for dialing the phone, adjusting tint, gps and driver settings. There is a dial on the arm rest that controls the heads up and on screen instructions and there is a switch for reverse too, although I didnt look for neutral, didnt need to:confused

Basicly the whole car can be controlled by the little "mouse" in the center counsel.

Selfpark is :sgay

The spot you park in has to be 6.5 feet LONGER than the already enormous car.

As for the 7 series, it does have a shifter. Its on the right of the steering wheel, the stalk above the wiper's is the shifter. Pull back and down for drive, down only for reverse and back and up for park. I believe the button on the edge you push in for neutral. Something along those lines. you can kind of see it in the picture.

I never noticed it and I drove one all weekend long:confused The 760li is not the same as the 745, alot of features are different.

BMW also has this technology. They might share technologies but only one of them is overall reliable :goof

ahh...760 may be different then. In the pic, if you full size it you can see the shifter on the steering column twoards the top right of the steering wheel. My buddy has a 745, so that's what I'm going off of from when I last drove it.

I have to agree. But on the other hand, you will probably never beat the ride of the BMW. The caars are so quiet on the road you could be doing 90 down the freeway and whisper to everybody in the car.
