Roller Skating

I'm sure there are a few of you out there who miss the good old days of rollerskating, I'm one of them. Actually, with 2 of my kids who enjoy going, I went and bought some new speedskates last spring. Reason I bring this up is, a few guys from Pistol Pete's car show (Wednesday Night Classics) are going skating Sunday October 29th and as they say, The more the merrier. We're going to Waukesha Skateland, 7pm-9:30pm, It's a 21 & over "old school night". They'll be playing music from the 70's and 80's. Cost is $6.
Dust off those speedskates with the Zinger wheels and fat laces and break your tailbone with us. :durr

i used to go to Butler skateland literally every weekend during middle school, part of elementary school. used skates for like one year, got Blades after that. i used to love the races, only guy that usually beat me was one of the employees with like "track prepped" blades with oversized wheels and crap.

The wife and kids go to RollAero on Pennsylvania at least once a weekend. I don't skate but it gives me a nice peacefull afternoon in the garage when they go!

hell yeah I miss it lol. Went to Rollaero all the time. The school use to rent a night out once a month so it was just us. Flippen awesome. lol. Gotta love getting blisters from the rented skates and played the simpsons and ninja turtles arcade games all the time.

I recall the all night skates at the 27th St. Skate U. That was the most fun a 11 year old could legally have... even better than lock-ins at the Y. :goof

LOL It would be fun to watch all the BCMer fall on their ass's.

Nice. The Techzilla is lighting up the softballs in my fall league. We only played two games so far and been hitting a lot of missle line drives with it. some bullets that goes to infielders cant hang on to the ball. I just hope we get some more games so I can swing it some more.

I think i will make this one I have not had my skates on in over 20 years,. I was a skate guard and dj at the hwy 100 skate university. One of the best times I ever had doing a job. Rick

HOLY OUT OF SHAPE!!!!! My legs were poundin' this morning after skating last night. The music was great, all the stuff you used to hear at the skating rink back in the day. One dude, about 45 years old, was just jammin' his a$$ off! He looked like one of those guys you'd see skating near the beach in California. I had my back to the rink talking to some people and right behind me I hear the loudest THUMP ever! SOunded like someone dropped a bowling ball from the ceiling- I turn around and this dude was laying on his back, knocked the phuck out!!!:rolf

The next adult old school night is Monday December 4th, 7- 9:30pm
