What's the differences between the S500 and the S55??

And yes, I know the S55 is an AMG Equipped car.

HP ADDICT

Probably alot more HP for the AMG car but I dunno.

Wow, ok... I was going to comment about the price of it, since my Dad just bought a fully loaded '01 S500 for $29,800 with 50k on it, but nevermind, I don't want to insult him...

Nice car anyways...

even the people that CAN afford that with the credit to buy that type of car, not many banks will finance a vehicle of that year for very long, and especially with it being over 70k miles. So 4 year term, on 46k, is some pretty damn high payments, even if they had 10g's of their own cash. And repair bills on them, good lord. And if they have the dough to pay cash, they probably have the dough to pay cash for a new one.

Not knocking the car/price/etc... one bit. It's a SWEEEEET car. Just the simple fact of life why it's a tough sell.

Some banks actually have a longer term loan for this type of car. With A-1 credit 5 years may be reachable.

Right, most of the ones we go through are saying 760+

Bwahahahaha I know... We bought a ML from 'em last year for a customer, who then took it to Concours and it needed $1500 worth of repairs...

I just looked that up to show that there are cars out there with lower miles for less money though..

And here's a 67k Mile one for 32K

s55 is much nicer than the s500, 01 s55 is not supercharged that started in 03 i believe. s500 is a 5l s55 is a 5.5l

home boy trying to jack his thread has a 01 v6 mustang. i think that says enough...

Cause we are all jealous. What does a car like that run brand new? It is high milage for something that costs 44k, to me. Then again, I dont even have a car right now. I have 4 motorcycles, so clearly I have no brains ;-)

Nice car! If someone buys it I have the motorola phone that will work with it.:D

Yup, I'm obviously jealous... :durr

Interestingly enough, I was just attempting to help the guy sell his car... It's all in the marketing... I hate to say it, but I don't think this is the right place to try to sell a S55... Oh, and price is a large factor as well... You gotta be priced in the market... But I don't know anything about marketing cars, it's only my job :durr

You never know what people on here have money and or who talks to someone who is maybe looking for someone!

This is one thread in one forum that i posted in. all it takes is a copy and paste of all the same info. I doubt anyone from here buys it to but like said before people know other people and it only takes one person. this thread took me all of 30 seconds to make. free advertisement. FTW

it certainly is a nice car though so good luck with the sale. if you are interested in selling it quickly, a friend of mine is friends with a car buyer for International Autos. They would probably be interested in this slick looking car. If you would like me to inquire about this, pm me.

They wouldn't give him a reasonable amount for the car, atleast I highly doubt they would

Point Taken...

And a wholesale number on that car would be somewhere from 31050-34975 according to my Oct 9, '06 Black Book

yeah but when you know the auto purchaser over there, things go differently. They gave my friend only $2,000 less then what he was asking on his mint porsche boxster for a private sale. Just tossin the idea out there.
