Randy at PER ( http://www.per-race-engines.com ) is building a smallblock FORD motor for me right now. It may be finished next week.

It's possible that I'll get to make a few passes before the track closes, just depends on the weather. If we run all the way thru November it's possible.

I stopped by there for just a few minutes as I was working, so I didn't take many more. When I have the car back I'll take more.

Some people have been asking about how to get ahold of Brian.
I do not want to break the rules here about advertising for non-sponsors, so either see my post on MMA or send me a PM.

Real Mustangs have Ford engines in them. If I was going to go to a SBC, I'd go to a Camaro body.

Bastardized Mustangs aren't my style... ;)

No offense to Scotty, that's just my opinion.

I don't recall ever saying that Chevy's aren't fast, or won't work well in a Mustang. What Scotty does or Dave Buckley does with their Mustang bodies is their business. I'm a Ford fan, and I wouldn't put a Chevy motor in a Mustang. Ford Mustang is an American Icon and it spawned a whole slew of "me too" products including the Camaro and Firebird, which are both excellent cars. However I am loyal to the original Ponycar that caught GM totally off guard and changed the course of automotive history.

Long live FORD MUSTANGS with FORD engines in them! :headbang

Your tastes may vary. Built it how you want it, drive it like you stole it, it's all good. :thumbsup

I love Mustangs so much that I think I'll start a website dedicated to them!

Oh wait... nevermind!

I think the equation you are looking for is 540ci Big Block w/ 2 stages of NOS = Fast

Not trying to be a jerk here, but I think a Ford big block of similar size with a 2 stage nitrous hit would go just as fast. To think that the chevy part of Scottie's car is the reason its going fast is just stupid. No offence Scottie, you no I love you man. :durr

And as far as a callout, not really, my car doesn't even run right now.
I will not get my car even close to dialed in to its full potential this year, but it will be enough to see where it will go next year. :shades

and realistically, you guys have nothing "FORD" or "CHEVY" left of those engines....considering its aftermarket EVERYTHING other than maybe harmonic balancer bolt....

Now this is the most logical talk i have ever heard on any thread we all get caught up in ford V.S chevy that we forget all of there internals are more than likley eagle/JE/trick flow and so on. The real ? is who has figured out ther combo
