1st Gen Q45 Top speed

A member at the Q45 site that I frequent removed his speed limiter and ran his car on an abandoned airstrip. These cars fly! I miss my 1st Gen. The car was a blast.

His run was GPS verified.

This was mine. The car that did the 180 was the same but black. Mine would pull 145 with ease but thats all the balls I had to push it.

40 mph difference at that kind of speed is lightyears apart though. Air resistance increases logarithmically.

My '99 Mustang GT went 183. It felt not so safe at that speed (drag springs).:durr

New ones don't have the power like the old ones did. They were rockets back then.

My '99 Mustang GT went 183. It felt not so safe at that speed (drag springs).:durrThe 89 CSX felt stable as hell at 147mph with the ground effects and spoiler...didn't want to go much faster as it was touching the 6000rpm redline at that speed :durr

hmmm, never would of thought that. i thought the newer ones were higher on hp? Or is it the weight?
