Im looking at picking up a 92 sentra se-r but i dont know if its something i want to get into. The cars got 171k on it but the body is pretty nice.I dont know much about the sr20de motor so does anybody know or has dealt with this motor/car?Id like to make a nice auto-x/strip car if i can and i want to know if its a relatively cheap platform to upgrade?

i'd get the car and do a swap they seem to move pretty good with the SR20DET swap done to them.

isnt the sr20de already pretty decent? pretty sure they can handle quite a bit of power over stock. just throw a turbo on that motor. guys got on at a shop around here and he makes around 300.

thanks all who replied but i have one more question. Is there anything to look closely at when i go and look at this car? I know the cars are known for the 5th and i think 2nd gear pop-out but is there any other common problems that will make or break the decision on the car?
