Hey, I need to fly to Milwaukee from Minneapolis. I looked at Midwest, and their cheapest cost seems to be $188. After all the taxes and misc. fees, the cost comes out to be 207. I looked at Orbitz, and Northwest airlines charges 213. Expedia has some bargain fare, but they don't tell you the time of departure until the ticket is purchased.

I checked a one way ticket from Milwaukee to Minneapolis, and the cost was 300 dollars. It's more expensive to fly one way.

What airlines do you guys use?

I really like midwest. The larger seats/more leg room are worth it to me, and if thats the cheapest one, I'd DEFINATELY go for that.

Midwest has some awesome cookies!

Haha, my sister said the same thing about their cookies.

I have no concern about comfort or the food, I just need the cheapest way to get there and back on my time table. However, if the cheapest is also the most comfortable, I guess I'm getting the best of both worlds; with a good cookie to boot.

On the topic of cookies, I always laugh at this.

Go Midwest all the way. They are more likely to be on-time and the extra room and convience is worth every penny. I travel almost weekly for work and I can't stand some of the sh*t-boxes out there. Also you are less likely to encounter lines at check-in with Midwest as well as sometimes getting through security faster. That is a big plus in some of the other airports in the U.S.

That will search all of the websites at the same time. You can find the best deal in about 5 minutes.

Ever think of taking a bus or train?

They might be slower in speed, but when you consider the lack of check-in/out time and sitting around, they are almost as fast for these short-distance trips.

I've looked at taking a Greyhound bus, but the times are very inconvenient. The trip is 7 hours. It's a last resort, but not the number one option.

With Amtrak, the times just don't work.

its a shame my mother no longer works at midwest. I could have gotten you a round trip ticket for $100 bucks.
