So I have my 2006 Silverado now, has the 5.3 liter. Im pretty sure its all aluminum, therefore making it an LS generation engine? Anyway, what are simple modifications that can be done to this engine/vehicle that are generally simple but let it breathe/operate better? All the boltons I was going to use for my 2002 with the 5.3 won't work on this one... I dont think so anyway. Looking through summits catalog, they have boltons for these engines up till 2005 silverados, but I have yet to see boltons for the 06 yet. Anyone know of a site that has parts for these? I wanted to get a 77 series K&N cold air intake, maybe a larger throttle body and mass air meter, then perhaps header back exhaust. Any other tips or suggestions?

Gen IV

Tune (not hypertech), intake and exhaust. dont waste the money on other stuff. They dont make throttle bodies for 03+ anyway, they are drive by wire.
