awsomeears

The ones in bold really mean somthing to me

Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

You're a 90's kid if:

You remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain , and Two Stupid Dogs.

AAAAAAAH real monsters.

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!

You just cant resist finishing this... "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised..."

You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World.

You remember when, 2Pac and Selena died.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time"

Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.

You remember when super nintendo's and Sega Genisis became popular.

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yomega Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where's Waldo books..

You remember when Mortal Kombat Was "Da Bomb"!

U remember eating Warheads.(those sour candys)

You remember watching the 1st Batman, Aladin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies.

U remember Ring Pops.

U remember drinkin' Fruitopia and Surge.

if you memeber when every thing was "da BOMB"

when they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!!

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players

Writing M.A.S.H. notes. (and the twenty different versions of that)

Making those little paper fortune cookie things.. and then predicting your life with them.

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"

You played and/or collected "Pogs"

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere

...Furbies.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

You had a favorite New Kid on the block, and you knew all of there names

Michael Jordan was a king.

Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out.

You collected those Beanie Babies.

Growing Pains.

Carebears and The Gummy Bear show.

Gak was the coolest thing invented.

Lambchop's song never ended.

The old dollar bills.

Silver dollars, were cool that have.

You remember a time before the WB.

You collected all the Troll dolls

You owned a portable tape player.

If you even know what an original walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
I miss that show soooooooooooooo much

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" ... enough said

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You know the significance of the number 23.

You went to McD's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds...at the play ground.

YOU FORGOT .....POGS.....they were the legit shit!!!

:thumbsup

Yeah thats perfect. Half way through I was like "where the fvck are POGS?!"
Anyone remember the spaceship pog holder you could get from hardees? It came in 3 pieces and only the lucky sh!t who's mom/bother/aunt/cousin worked at Hardees actually had all 3 pieces. And the spiked hammer pogs that RUINED everyone elses pogs.

Dinosaurs was a great show. On saturday mornings I always watched Monster trucks or some kind of racing... I suppose thats true for most BCM members though.

Dinosaurs was a great show.
"Not the Mama'!"
Great show. My cousin recently got the first two seasons on DVD and we watched them. Not as funny as I remember, but funny nontheless.

Speaking of cartoons and old crap, for most of us on here go to http://retrojunk.com/ and release those memories! Holy crap... I have never been so stuck to a monitor before (well, besides the obvious porn). The woman and I were playing all kinds of stuff off that website for HOURS! Check it out, it's great. :thumbsup

Some of the things here were to childish for me :cough: pogs :cough:

Though, I DID have the GI Joe Aircraft Carrier when it first came out, and a TON of OG Transformers. Snorks, Gummi Bears, ang Garfield and Friends were great. Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing duck, and Ducktales were not bad either. What about saving up Kool-Aid points to get the Kool-Aid stand?

Anyone else remember those? I remember having to go to Lake Geneva to get a "real" one. If you could find a grey one that changed to green/purple, you were the sh1t.

LOL OMFGGGGGGGG...
We bought pencils from the in-school supply room by the tons, hid the broke ones behind the bookshelf in the classroom.
One day we were having a little tournament in the back of the room, and the teacher comes over to see wtf is going on, notices broken pencils by the bookshelf... pulls out a few books... gets a PISSED OFF look on his face and *woooosh* sweeps like 1,000+ pieces of broken pencil from behind the books :rolf
Good times.

Glow Worms? Popels? Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby? Yea, I had all of that along with a Jem doll. Those pink flashing earrings were HOT!

For us old folks:

You could be a 70's child if...

"All-skate, change directions" means something to you.

A predominant colour in your childhood photos is "plaid".

Chevy Chase was really funny in those vacation movies.

If female: you thought that Shawn Cassidy was "dreamy", lusted after "Ted, your ship's photographer" on the Love Boat or Chachi.

If male: your first love was Marsha Brady, Jeannine, Samantha from Bewitched, Josie or any one of the Pussycat.

In your sophomore class picture, you're wearing a shirt with the collar "up".

It was a major accomplishment to get to the "Chase" scene in Ms. Pacman.
Leg warmers were cool.

Most of the fillings in your mouth are directly related to Bazooka or Bubble Yum.

Rotary phones.

The Brady Bunch Movie brings back warm memories.

The first time you ever kissed someone was at a dance during "Crazy for You" by Madonna.

There was nothing strange about Bert and Ernie living together.

This rings a bell: "and my name, is Charlie. They work for me."

While in high school, you and all your friends discussed elaborate plans to get together again at the end of the century and play "1999" by Prince over and over again.

You actually know who Rick Springfield is.

You actually remember Benetton.

You actually remember Mr. Bill.

You can recite the Preamble to the Constitution, but only to the tune of Schoolhouse Rock.

You could sing "99 Red Balloons" in English and in German.

You don't even want to remember the hairstyles you had in the 80's.

You ever asked to be gagged with a spoon.

You ever dressed to emulate like a cast member of a Duran Duran, Madonna, Rick Springfield, or Cyndi Lauper video.

You ever had a Dorothy Hammill haircut or used Short and Sassy shampoo.

You ever owned a Donnie and Marie or Sonny and Cher poster.

You ever owned a set of "Pop-Wheels", that handy little combination of shoe and roller skate that lasted about a year on the open market.

You ever wanted to learn to play "Stairway to Heaven" on the guitar and choreographed "Dancing Queen" by yourself in your room.

You freaked out when you found that you now fall into the "26 to 40" age category on questionnaires.

You had ringside seats for Luke and Laura's wedding.

You know all the words to the double-album set of Grease.
You know the origin of the phrase "Where's the beef?".

You know who shot J.R.

You know, by heart, the words to Weird Al Yankovic's songs.

You learned to swim at about the same time that Jaws came out and still carry the emotional scars.

You often catch yourself saying "When I was your age", "Youth is wasted on the young", "I used to be able to do that", or "What is that thing called again?".

You owned a Jordache anything, or you remember when Jordache jeans were cool.

You remember "Friday Night Videos" before the days of MTV.

You remember any of the following: Echo and the Bunnymen, Cutting Crew, Scritti Politti, or Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark.

You remember having to get off the couch to change the TV channel.

You remember that music that was labeled "alternative" really was.

You remember the days when "safe sex" meant "my parents are going out of town".

You remember trying to guess the first episode of the Brady Bunch from the first scene.

You remember wanting to stay up to see Mr. Bill on Saturday Night Live.

You remember when film critics were certain that no movie could ever possibly get better special effects than those in the movie TRON.

You remember when there was only "G", "PG", and "R".

You sat with your friends on a Friday night and dialed "8-6-7-5-3-0-9" to see if Jenny would answer.

You still wonder if Mikey died from a lethal cocktail of Pop Rocks and Coca Cola.

You thought "Weird Science" was a masterpiece.

You took family trips BEFORE the invention of the mini-van and remember riding in the back of the station wagon trying to get passing trucks to honk at you.

You tuned in regularly to the adventures of the Bionic Man and Woman, Wonder Woman, and/or the Incredible Hulk.

You wanted to move to Hawaii because that's where Magnum lived.

You were not allowed to see The Exorcist, The Omen, or The Blue Lagoon when they came out.

You wore anything Izod, especially those wind-breakers that folded up into a pouch you could wear around your waist.

You're starting to believe that having the kids go to school all year wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

You've shopped at a Banana Republic or Benetton, but not in the last five years, OK?

Your first musical purchase was an 8-track tape.
