Looking to spend 7-9 grand, would like to stick with GM. Anybody have any recomendations for cars / trucks to look at? I wasn't expecting to sell my impala, but I have a pretty serious offer that I would like to consider. Looking for something that gets 20+ mpg, and somewhat reliable perferably low milage

have you thought about picking up like a Regal GS w/ the S/C 3.8? They seem to be a HELL of alot cheaper than the GTP's of the same years. That and I like how they are the "sleeper" of the two.

I am looking for a daily driver, something that wont rot half way up to the door handles after I drive it through winter

Are you looking to do something different, not the "hot out of the box" kind of car? I can picture you doing something odd, an old dually (ok... not good for MPG) or an older wagon?

I can't picture you in something that everyone else has, you always have something odd/different.

P.S. I'm going to call you, I need some help in getting a badass horn in my CL:headbang

2 wheel drive extended cab, easy to drop/customize. Most of the Milwaukee truck crowd seems to be into the S10's and Blazers. You can drop the silverado and Rat-Rot it and complete my dream for me, then I'll buy it from you.:rolf

What about a late 90's early 2000 Bonneville, Buick park Avenue, or like someone said a Crown Vic. I know of a place where you can get some Police interceptors with mileage in the 50,000 range for around 6 grand

Thats what I need to do, but hell I dont know what I want. If I get a truck, the bed needs to be big enough to haul a motorcycle in the back or have a hitch on it to pull my trailer. If its a car, it needs to seat 4 and NOT have a v8. I want a reliable daily driver that is comfortable and not feel cheap, and I do NOT want a FORD product. If I buy domestic, I want a CHEVY cause I know how to fix them and I get parts at cost :thumbsup

Something like this would work, but man why are these vehicles so expensive? I guess I should have looked around before I sold my impala, hell I paid 6 grand for my 2001 impala with 70000 miles on it two years ago. The same thing now sells for almost double

i'd say another Wbody like everyone else.... i loved my GP, and if you buy a GT, you are likely to have ZERO problems.... plus not have to buy Premium. otherwise a Grand Am?

You get what you pay for. Acura, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Infiniti all hold strong money on the resale end. You may even be supprised with what it's worth when you go to sell it. They are just all around great cars and everybody knows it. Go take one for a ride. I bet you will like it.

I know I will never buy another american car unless it's a truck or Muscle car. Just not worth the head aches. They ride like crap, drive like crap, and break all the time. I have had such good luck with the past 3 imports I have owned with BILLIONS of miles on them. They have made a believer out of me thats for sure.

Come take a look by me and see if you like anything.

The old 3800 was a good engine. The series 2 is a pile of poo as far as Im concerned.

Now a toyota 3.0 litre is a bullet proof engine.:thumbsup

I put 62000 miles on my 3800 series 2, never a single problem. The only car I ever had to replace anything major was the fuel injectors in my 4.3 blazer

Im enjoying my park ave a lot. It can fit 6 people easily and it gets an average of 24mpg. I know you can find 97 and up park ave ultras (super charged) for cheap. I have 155,000 on my 99 and its doing fine, but I don't need to tell you how good the 3800's are.
