Yep, I remember the Killer "B's". Most were twin charged (super and turbocharged). I recall seeing one hit a tree at full speed and the TV went black to a commercial. Both the driver and navigator were instantly killed.

When you look at the footage it makes you wonder who is more insane; the photographers, the spectators, or the drivers?

Ahh, great stuff. Group B can never be topped. If anybody's interested they have a rally in upper michigan. The lake superior pro rally, used to be sanctioned by scca but now its run by rally america. Its a pretty good event...
