This post reminds me of the time.....

Family guy is funny, but its nowhere near as good as the Simpsons. Family guy relies on the same joke over and over again. Which is a flashback to something that has nothing to do with anything other then a way to bring in a weird reference.

ehh... Simpsons is just not that funny anymore.
Yea maybe 15yrs ago when there wasn't anything like it.

But now there's tons of cartoons much funnier... if you've never seen Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law (on Cartoon Network), DVR/TIvo it or go download an episode or two. It's basically like the old 80's cartoons, but with crude humor and blatant sexual innuendos :) funny as hell.

Hell, even Aqua Teen Hunger Force is funnier than the Simpsons. :P

AGREED! :thumbsup Personnally i like Family guy a little more. But if you look the simpsons is rated for everyone including younger people. Family guy is more of a South parkish kind of cartoon.

Could be a knock or a plus but...simpsons still appeals to the more intelligent imo.

I like family guy, but it gets old after a little while. Some shows push the envelope JUST to push the envelope. At least when south park does it, it has real teeth to it.

Simpsons FTW, Family guy is good, South park still the hardest biting.

And of course, one of THE BEST south parks, was there take on "family guy" and fox.

Does anybody remember the Simpson esp. when Homer cloned himself with that magic hammock and there was like 300 Homers? Peter from Family Guy was in that esp. for like 1 second as they paned across all the Homers. Peter was a himself and did his laugh. It was so random lol.

remember that family guy episode that opened like naked gun w/ stewie on his bike, and he went into the garage and there was homer to run away, but instead stewie runs him over. then peter comes out of the house and is like "Jeez stewie, who the hell is that?? Oh well"

Family guy was rather weak last night. It seems like they watched 3 Simpsons episodes and tried to combine them. The Walmart slam was a little too late......

One thing that the Simpsons has done is to give me a generational gap similar to the old 8 Track conversation. I talk to people now that cannot remeber life without the Simpsons being on TV and I remeber watching the shorts on Tracy Ulman in 87 and thinking it was cutting edge stuff.

Next week is sposed to have a clip from the Simpsons movie? The begining of the end???

Driving a blimp will be much cheaper in the long run......

We should really throw Futurama in the mix also. It was killed but they are coming out with a 2 hr movie in 07. I try to catch it on Cartoon network everynight. There seems to always be some little thing I missed the first time around.......

I would have to say the more recent esp. I have seen by the Simpsons have been very funny. I think they took a q from Family Guy saying pick up the pace. From what I have seen they have been great for a long lasting show. I would say Family Guy & Simpsons are very close lately.

Homer is so funny just being so stupid. I would say the best character on Simpsons is Homer. Same goes for Family Guy, Peter is just too funny. Both shows kick a$s!
