Picking one up, looking for opinions. Is there any difference from a normal cutlass or any way to id it as a true 442? I know they were kinda rare, and I had an 80 back in the day. Gonna make a nice home for my 455 I think..

If it's a true 442 it should have come with an Olds 350 motor in it. This link has a little more info about it...

It was the only way to get an Olds G-body with an Olds 350. SHould have 3A heads on it and a dual gate shifter if I remember right. Also the engine VIN code should be "R" I believe for the 350 Olds engine.

Only way to get a G-Body with a 350 period...besides the diesel's or a 84' MCSS made for Mexican sales :).

Motor is no longer present, so that doesnt help much. Will check the vin and see if it has the underhood sticker to verify the 350. 80 did not use a dual gate, only trhe 79 H/O. Will get pics when I pick it up.

Yeah I was thinking H/O with the dual gate.
