Why attempt?.... If you were left with a "stump" that was useless for any practical reason, wouldnt you at least try something?

I feel bad for the guy. Right, wrong, sick, wierd, normal.... No matter what, this guy has an "accident" leaving him with 1cm that he cant even piss from... Then to try and get a new one and spend all that time and money just to end up cutting it off for whatever phsycological reason. That sucks.

I dont understand what the psychological reason is for being "afraid" of someone else's organ transplanted on your body? Does this also happen to people who are saved by kidney transplants?
