Gonna be trading in one of my pistols soon figured I would
check whats out there before I take a hit on my target pistol
from local gun dealer.

Here is a PIC of mine from another sale sight:
http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976706710.htm
This is a Olympic grade and aproved Anschutz Exempler
22LR with scope and a few clips, they sell used without
scope in ok shape from $450 up to $700+ in great shape
with options. Tack driver accurate, 1/4 MOA at 50 yards.
Mine is in excellent but not mint shape with soft case
and scope/clips. Used competitively in MN winning all
my class entries.

Looking for a center fire bolt or semiauto rifle in 22-250
or 223 (anywhere in that area for fox/coyote hunting).
I preffer a semi auto (Ruger/AR ect) but open to decent
shape bolt actions. The Anschutz Exempler will only go up
in value, good chance for someone to get a great return
for there trade. russjerome@aol or PM me here preferably
so my wife doesnt yell at me about my gun problem :)

Have you looked into the .17 HMR? Those are the new hotness with all my buddiess who are hardcore varmint hunters. Alot of hand-loaders are loading some very hot shells for it too. They're also affordable enough to the point where you could probably keep your pistol. :thumbsup

I have a Savage .222 that's rolled a few 'yotes but I am not looking to get rid of it. I have an addiction to collecting them as well... :goof

Agreed, check into the 17HMR. Hornady makes a nasty little cartridge. From what I hear, there is hardly any drop at 100 yds, very flat ballistics. Not to mention they have some pretty good knock down power for being such a small round. As 4Eyed said, they are reasonablly cheap to buy. Sportsman's Warehouse usually has a good variety. Just my two cents.

The 17hmr is a great "little" round, would be a blast doing squirels
at 100+ yards. But at 17 grains I picture a lot of varmits limping
away at anything over 150yards (coefficency of .125 at 2550fps).

I've dropped deer with a 223 with a single shot at 175 yards and
it simply drops yotes at 250, the 45-55 grain bullet has a bit more
punch downline and less drift in light winds. Now the 223SSM now
theres a new hot round!

Wife just wont let me buy another gun, I'll bring it in to Badger and
get something. Cool weather has me pumped :)

17 hmr is teh suck in windy weather. A slight breeze will have the bullet off an inch at 100yards. Calm days = bullet through same hole. Light breeze = shots all over some times you get a sideways hole through the target.

Yotes are fun to shoot with a 7MM Rem Mag using Ballistic Silvertips too.

Not much left after that! ;)

Been there done that!!! Up north hunting with my bud, late on a cold
and nasty day he says "ya think you can hit that mutt (meaning coyote)
across the road?". It was a crapshot with a 7MMRM but I figured it wasnt
much over 275 yard.........well judging by the number of times the poor
guy rolled on impact he never knew it was coming! Most of his right rib
cage was missing and the entry hole was baseball size. Ballistic tipped
trophy game rounds are nasty. Im not into killing stuff for fun but if
your going to take out an animal thats what I want to see.
