the blue red yellow cables are the component video cables you need to hook from the component video out on the back of the box to the component input on the back of your TV. Then there is a seperate audio cable you need to run between the red and white outputs on the back of the box to the audio inputs on the back of your TV. It should be color coded,

The component video is the red/blue/yellow.
It is only for video not audio.
BTW they are polar inputs so if you mix the colors up it won't work.

You will need a seperate audio cable.

This should be the back of your cable box.

yes alot better sam. i used the component cables. then went to hdmi on ours and it makes all the difference in the world. mine is wall mounted and has all the wires run through the wall the 12 ft hdmi cable was about 150 bux. the shorter in length they get alot cheaper.

The HD channels should look lightyears better than the non-HD ones... if you can't tell the difference, there's definitely something wrong.

x2 when i got my hdtv (hp 42"plasma) i had to go buy the HDMI cables..that gave me the good video and audio for the HD channels. i only payed about 35$for them tho. dont go to best buy and buy the monster cables, they are to expensive and you can get them for half the price on the net or at other stores....

Shows broadcast in non-HD will seem rather primative, grainy if you will. Wait til Sunday and you can catch the Fox NFL games. Make sure you're on the Fox HD channel though like 506 or somewhere thereabouts on Time Warner....

go to channel 541 thats discovery HD and also if the picture is strecthed the regular channels will be a tad bit grainy and if u call me ill stop over with an HDMI cable for ya since TWC supplies them now and all u have to do is ask :goof you've got mail
