I have to. I run a pool at work. Did you really expect anything else?
Hate to say it but I don't see a season much better than last year. As much as I like Farve he should have let it go. How could he think this season would be better with all the new blood on the team. Maybe I am wrong and I will have to eat my post later in the season. ( I wouldn't mind )

I hope the second 1/2 turns around quick.

its pretty pathetic, they are by far the worst team in the nfl. i think they could give some canadian football teams a run for their money, but hey my team lost as well today...GO LIONS!!!!

I can't beleive I'm saying this, but I miss Sherman's play calling. This new guy is terrible. Both on offense and defense. They look like they came in with no gameplan.

Brett looks VERY uneasy standing in the pocket....but I dont blame him.

edit: And just as I type this....Bears return a punt for a TD 80+ yards.

This is just a continuation of last year. Panic at the end and Hail Mary.
Why does Brett feel the need to win a game by himself? I really wish they would use the running game less and give the WR more of a chance. The run has failed so why beat a dead horse!!

it seems like noone wants to play out there, there is no sense or urgency to get anything done, its kinda sad to watch them play

on a good note, ahman green had his first 100+ yard game for the fist time in a few years! But other than that its looking very ugly this game.

this is going to be the first shutout since 91 or 92...:alcoholic

Why??? Cause he has to. He only had 1 WR show up today. Green gave it his best and thanks to draws at the end of the game had over 100yards.

I really thought 6-10. But we may very well be looking at the first pick in the draft next year.

It's really not Bretts fault. He's got absolutely ZERO protection this year.
Even the vets are making big mistakes. They had nothing going...so tossing it up may not have been that bad of an idea.

Side note: Anybody know how many times Brett was knocked down beside the 3 sacks? Seems like every pass play he was on his ass.

Down 28 points with 10 minutes left, you have no choice but to hope a hail mary gets caught. Last years method with Sherman of being down 4 scores and then having a long 8 minute drive didn't really turn out to well.

What do you think they have been planning and doing this off season?? Thats what this is, they hold the most rookies of any other NFL team rite now with 14 rookies out of 51 players. Its nuts, the O lline is terrible, the whole team did nothing today.

There was nothing, the only person who had a decent/good game was Green.:thumbsup For the ppl who say its all Favres fault they are just nieve.

I know what you are saying. I wasn't implying it was his fault. I just think he trys to carry the whole team. Favre has some records in the NFL I don't think will be broken anytime soon. I Just wish he could go out on top.

Brett just wants to break a record or two, even if it means bringing down the rest of the team with him.

On a good note, I won two bets today!

Are you kidding? Lets be realistic here... He has already broken the records in plenty of areas. There is no record that he is approaching where he would need to stay one or two more years to in order to break.

I also highly doubt that he would have the mantality to stay to break records "even if he brings down the entire team".

I'm sorry but what you put was just ignorant man.

But then again its just my opnion.:D

Their advice to us is to start drinking heavily.

defense is good, but thats it:rolf

If you call giving that puke Rex Grossman all day to bite his nails, line up the laces, then throw the ball, making him look like a Pro Bowl QB being good defensively, than your definition of good and mine are clearly miles apart..

Before anyone harps on Favre anymore:

-Ahmad Carroll needs to retire. Same shit every week from this clown. If he isn't hugging them into pass interference, he's just letting them blow right past
-Bubba Franks needs to retire. Hid drops and 2 stupid penalties killed them during a crucial point when they could have taken command.

#4 was the least of their problems today.

nismodave
09-17-2006, 09:50 PM
Favre is garbage. He has a good arm, but no brains.

That pass in the end zone that was intercepted was fvcking stupid.

DirtyMax

That pass in the end zone that was intercepted was fvcking stupid.

If I recall right, I believe he was hit as he threw it which is why it ended up being such a duck.

I think I counted about 10 dropped passes (Bubba 2, Green 3, Martin 1, Jennings 2, Furgeson 2) all in the second half and most in the 4th quarter. And these were just all the "catchable" ones too.

I'm not saying Favre hasn't lost a step but with the cast he has to play with, what do you expect? He still has the instincts to improvise like few others can.

Karps TA
09-17-2006, 10:05 PM

People who want Favre gone obviously weren't around before he came here. It's complete ignorance to think he's the problem.

Well last time I checked he can't both throw it and catch it. And Lord knows he didn't give up 34 points.

DirtyMax
09-17-2006, 10:13 PM
31-55 340 3TD's and 1 INT doesn't sound like too big of a problem. There were only 3 QB's in the NFL that had a better day statistically and they all won because they didn't have to do it alone. Their RB's had more than 42 yards. That's pathetic.

Ahmad Carroll and Nick Collins got torched all day and it isn't Collins' job to cover them. The offense shoudn't be expected to score 30 pts every week to keep up witht he sieves on the other side of the ball..

not sure how u can say that after the day he had....what would u like him to do besides throw for 3 td's and almost 350 yards....maybe if people caught the ball when he threw it.....
