Note: My Mustang is AMAZINGLY Dirty in these pictures... :goof But the Fusion is really clean! :thumbsup

I guess maybe I should shine up the Mustang more often, but I took those last weekend, after a long week, and the Fusion was brand new still... :thumbsup

We'd smoke the shit outta him. :wooo hopefully:thumbsup , they say they usually run a 15.8 or so stock for Joes, and I've seen 14.8's listed for the 05+ for the most part I've found around 14.8-15.2 to be really common on the new v6 auto or stick. :D

the girlfriend is amassing a kill list.

tonight she hung w/ a Northstar powered Seville. that reminds me I need to go look up it's specs. No wonder, it's in the range of the mustang -- 1996 Cadillac STS 6.4 14.7 --2006 Ford Mustang V-6 6.3 14.8 - (pulled these off a random site) but the mustang has exhaust and a gutted airbox.

we went from 50-90 he got a huge jump, since she hit it late, but we reeled in him by 90ish and then she quit. btw, this was on a private airstrip, with some douchebag antagonizing her for a mile or so, till she finally said f-it.

the girl never raced anyone before this car, now she's getting challenges left and right. I had one challenge and it was a junk CRX

---------------------------------------------
on a new 06, a guy dynoed one, and gained 9hp by swapping the stock muffler for a GT takeoff muffler, and 3hp more by running no muffler, and added 6hp by gutting the airbox, and 2hp more w/ a CAI. then he tuned it, put down just slightly less than a stock 2004 GT would have put down, after no muffler, cai, and tune. I've also read that in devolopment they had to tone down the v6 alot since it was performing too closely w/ the GT (restrictive ass muffler as part of it, as well as tuning.) For example I can only stall the car up to 2k, and can't light up the tires unless it's wet due to the throttle-by-wire, and associated torque management.

I don't mean to be mean but if you bought a v6 wouldn't it be to drive not beat on and race all kinds of other slow cars?:whip

Most of us grew out of that stage long ago ;)

what does it say about you?? shit what does it say about nicole!!! I'll yell at her for having trucks and taurus's as previous vehicles. joes mustang or mine would definately put down better numbers than a stock '91 RS Camaro. stupid v6s you wanna swap a 350 or better in yours? the v6's have turbos and superchargers anyway.

I mean who would buy a L67, LC2, or a Sy/TY???? stupid v6's.

Oh Boy... And Bwhahaha... Just remember anything can be modified to the hills and become fast... End of Story... But I own a slow car anyways ;)

Sorry dan I didn't mean to stab at ya it just got to me reading your post last night because I encountered a bunch of idiots racing a few days ago while I was on my bike and it just really pissed me off how stupid and wreckless they are. Just be safe, and take it to the track when ya can. BTW 91 Camaro RS FTW!!!haha thirdgen love I know you have it!

yea, I was like daaayyyuumm!! and I didn't even do it.

either way the place we were was far from milwaukee in the first place, it was a dead highway @ 2am, and what i didn't mention is that this clown tried to instigate something w/ her a few days prior, and me a week earlier.

yeah I love thirdgens, but sadly new v6 base model cars walk all over them. I'd rock a '92 heritage edtion 3g fast or slow. the look =

A car club that I am in had it's national convention in Memphis this year and someone rented a Fusion to test it out. Didn't do too badly on the corners, but straight away was another story.

Looks nice and I think I have seen that mustang driving around. I remember the license plate. (:

Slow Joe
09-14-2006, 06:24 PM
I've only had the plates for... 2 months now though... :thumbsup Before I had the ones pictured on the Fusion... If it were a V6 it'd most likely do better in the straights, but the I4 is kinda a dog, especially with a slush box... They do handle quite nicely, for a stock FWD car... But it would do better with some aftermarket suspension parts :) Too bad it's not getting any :rolf

Slow Joe
09-14-2006, 07:24 PM
Not on that one... Maybe if I get my own it'll get a few goodies, but not the one she primarially drives... Of course if I got my own, I'd take a 5-Speed with leather, heated seats and the same options otherwise... :rolf Same sticker price too :)

Edited to be correct...

Yes and no... 5-Speed Automatic only for the V6... And our I4 is a 5-Speed automatic as well... If I were to get one it'd be an I4 5-Speed Manual... :thumbsup
