I just got the flyer in the mail for the Downtown West Allis Classic Car Show.

It's on October 1st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Looks like a 1986 or older to get in the show?

If I still have my 66 Galaxie by then I will be there with it , I'm going to see if BOSS LX will go to?

Any of you guys going?

I worked like crazy to get the car done and now that it's done I never drive it.....

Thats still a ways off, but I think I will be there as a spectator.

This show is one of the better shows around...

I really like the way they set it up.

I hope to see some of you guys down there....

Sincwe you are into Galxies I assume you know Danny K on Howell ave and Pat Mochinski? I know Danny has 4 7 Liters (2 hardtops and 2 convs. 4 spd/automatics of each) He runs around in that black early 63 Galaxie 500 with the red interior. He has a lotta FE stuff. Pat took me for a ride in a 63 1/2 R Code with 2x4's on it a long time ago. Scary fast car!

There was a 7 liter for sale on College & Packard at the shop across from KFC. I can check on it next time I roll past.

This show is one of the better shows around...

The WA PD is working on a drive by car show.

The owner gets tossed out as the car goes past. There are a few bugs but they have good feeling.....

$8 ( car club special ) 5 or more members from the same club
$15 weekend of show rate
$5 car corral cars for sale

classes

A : 1900-1950 stock and modified

B : 1951-1964 stock and modified

C : 1965-1972 stock and modified

D : 1973-1986 stock and modified

Specialty class ( any car make or model not listed above)

Best of Show ( judged by fellow exhibitors )

Peoples Choice ( judged by public )

Mayors Choice ( judged by Mayor Bell )

Show date is Oct. 1 2006 Sunday

Check in time is 8:30 to 9:30 am

Registration and check in is on 75 th. and Greenfield ( Very Best Safe and Lock building )

I have a ton of extra registration sheets here, if you need one send me a PM with your name and address and I will send you one......

Sept 28 is the deadline for pre-registry.

I hope to see some of you guys there, so far it looks like my friend Pat and Boss LX is going, we are going to meet up at my house and convoy in since I'm the closest to the show....

Yep, and a little ways in on each of the cross streets, if need be.

Yes, they park them on Greenfield but, I will be parking on one of the side streets as it has less car traffic driving by....

I talked with BOSS LX today and he says that he has a race at GLD the day before this car show, I guess we will wait and see if he ends up going to the show?

I would bet if the race day gets rained out he will be at the car show if it's not raining that day.....

I think that is the name of the shop. I am always too busy worying about where "Crazy Thumbs Up Guy Who Stands On The Corner Waving At Trafic " is when I roll through there....

I don't think Danny K has had any of his 7's out on the road in many a year. I remember his 4 speed hardtop has the glass headlight covers that say "7 Liter" on them.

I have seen some of those cars around but, I don't know the guys who own them.....The 7 Litre for sale could be Mikes from "Mikes Automotive" as I heard he was selling his?

we'll be heading down with the 63 wedge plymouth.....just for awhile he doesn't like taking it out a lot...too much invested in the car....last time the car was out was for world of wheels last jan

One of the side streets would be better for you guys to park as the traffic ( both people and cars ) is not as bad.....:)

I just finished cleaning up my car for the show....

Weather report shows a very nice day of sunny and 69 degrees for Sundays show!

BossLX and I will be heading out to the show fairly early as that will give us a better chance of getting good spots......

It's a show that really has a lot of different makes and models show up so who knows what we will see.....

BOSSLX and I are not sure where we are parking yet......He wants the "main drag" and I thought a "side street" would be better.....We are going to just show up and see whats works better for us.....

Both of our cars together should be easy to pick out as the way they "line the streets" makes it easier to see stuff than jambed in a big parking lot....

We will probably walk around checking out stuff some of the day but, I will end up sitting around by our cars too as I'm getting too old and tired to walk or stand all day.....:banana

West Allis cable channel 14 is doing a taping of the car show for a program that will air.....
