I guess as someone who owns a thirdgen and was highly influenced by the show as a kid growing up, I'm offended at the car being anything other then a thirdgen TA.

It's as stupid as Starbuck being a chic now on Battlestar Galactica, or Kojak being black on that remake that lasted 10 minutes. It doesn't work for me. Not that I'd go see the movie anyways.

Im all for updating the vehicle, I wouldnt have a problem with it being say a 2002 WS6. Anything other than that the movie is gonna be just as bad as 'Team Knight Rider'

IIRC they already did an update of Knight Rider with Hasselhoff in the early 90's, using a red Banshee prototype to replace the TA. Also a horrible movie/show (I think it was a movie). So in that respect its already been tainted.

Not that big of a deal, just kinda weak.

I disagree. I like her. I was a big fan of the original series, but this new one kicks it's ass, in every way. For one thing, this chick (the new Starbuck) has bigger balls than that p*ssy Dirk Benedict ever had. Frackin' pretty-boy.:punch:
I also like the whole "Cylons looking human" thing, and Dr. Baltar is far more sinister as a "dead toaster" seeing lunatic than as a straight-up traitor as the role was portrayed in the original series.

the Koenigsegg is a super badass car, super cool, but A: the whole point of KITT was for it to look like a NORMAL CAR, ie a plain jane black T/A. and totally on the nostalgia thing, it should be a WS6. while they're at it, maybe they should make Smokey and The Bandit 4, Burt Reynolds or Jerry Reed driving an Evo.

yeah it was in a 57 chevy before that if i remember right in that movie.

i dont see the big deal. KITT is just a computer in a car....team night rider was an example. the koneigsegg is bad ass.

I love the episode of Knight rider where Kitt gets impounded and says "I was locked up with real criminal types michael. Cars with bullet holes and dented fenders" lol. I hope The hoff has enough sense to realize the car should be a TA maybe a newer TA but still a TA. If they dont it would be like if they made the car in the new Dukes of Hazzard a fing mustang or some shit.

I honestly cannot think of one person that I know that saw the movie. It might be the fact that we are all old enough to remember how lame the show was and how many cars they destroyed making the turd every week. I was running a 69 Charger R/T at the time and really got sick of mental midgets telling me "that would look so cool painted up like the General Lee!"

I bought the DVD. It had things I like. Hot chics, cool car. Stifler, Johnny Knoxville and Burt Reynolds, was written and directed by the Super Troopers guys.

It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. I've seen much worse movies.

I'll agree that it wasn't great/terrible as a movie but it had nothing to do with the original show. Bo wasn't ghey for the car for one, and many other differences. I don't think theyre making the new movies to appeal to the ones who watched the original show. Theyre just taking the idea and making something new for the younger crowds.

The new KITT should atleast have remained a TA, but... whatcha gonna do??
