I'v been saying it I was going to buy a diesel by the end of summer well.. I bought one Saturday. I got a red 2002 dodge ram 2500 quad cab sport 24v cummins. 62,xxx miles owned by my grandpa for 4months before he passed away. he bought it used and maybe put 100 miles on it. It was elderly owned prior and only pulled there 24ft travel trailer in the summer months (garaged in winter) has helper springs in the rear stainless step bars and bed rails bed liner and bug shield. the interior is SPOTLESS.

i'm so late, but good choice on your truck. i bought my 04 High Output 3500 Ram new ... only thing I hate is little nick/nacks keeps on getting on my nerves... being an import tuner myself i really don't have time to fix these small issues... i hate to complain, but dodge needs to improve in their QA department.

-70miles Alignment steers to the left....warrantied(still steers to the left a bit and DC says keep on driving..maybe just the new rubber bushing just has to wear itself/break-in type of deal).....whatever!!!
-1k miles still steers left....warrantied(they say they did all they can...so I say fuk it.....tires see no wear....hehe until currently 11/2006 tire is completely worn at the edge...)
-2k miles water drips from visor onto my lap and passenger lap...:wooo warrantied(omg roof lights have bad seals and cracked from overtorquing from factory...geesh)
-15K miles Drive shaft bearing busts....:wooo :wooo warrantied
-25k miles Drive shaft bearing busts again... warrantied
-33k miles Powersteering and Powerbrakes failed...:wow :wow warrantied(thank god)
-36K miles = no more bumper to bumper warranty........
-37.5K miles passenger window makes noise while up/down movement. no warranty
-38K miles DSB again......no warranty...so i fixed it
-39K miles OMG the fuel gauge dies....so I "WILL" have to fix it..:crying

this is minor compared to some guys on the dodge forums...

BUT the good side of Dodge is that it has:
-CUMMINS 5.9L common fuel rail (proven and trusted I-6 engine)
-My 6spd tranny is flawless....towing and going thru the gears feels like i'm not even towing...
-With my TST box the stock clutch doesn't even slip at levels 6/6 and the Cummins is MINT even at those high levels.....no headgasket leak like other diesels@high boost.
-4x4 system is flawless.... responds with a twist of a button...
-6 CD stereo is mint w/ the INFINITI system
-8000+lb = 19mpg overall
-interior looks awesome compared to the other competitors(my opinion)

Overall the cummins dodge is a nice truck...minor improvements from DC would be nice...

again nice truck and hope to see you on the streets...:thumbsup

I wish I can say everything is going good.... I am up in Fergus Falls Minnesota, as far west as u can get before ND and my injection pump took a shit. I put it all back to stock and taking it in on tuesday, hopefully to be warrantied. But probly wont be due to a tapped injection pump wire for the edge comp. I was unaware that the truck is still under warranty from cummins. Cummins states in the manual that the cummins warranty 5year, 100,000mile starts AFTER the standard 3 year 36,000 mile Diamler Chrystler warranty. So basically making it a 8 year 136,000mile warranty on the engine.
