I was back in Iowa for the Labor Day weekend, Dubuque specifically and was waiting to fill up the Suburban back there knowing that it would at least be a bit cheaper that the $2.82 it was here on Friday.

I filled up on Saturday morning there for $2.40 a gallon (the station was attached to a Hy-Vee grocery store so you saved .08 if you had a receipt from the store). Even at $2.48 I couldn't believe the price difference. Most of the time we are about .10 more here.

Is the summer blend the culprit here?

Here way, it was nice to fill up from bone dry for $90.

Scary to read what I just wrote there......

The price difference is we have one of the highest gas taxes in the country. Along with every other tax....

I liked that too. It helped make up for CO being higher than us here:wow
