The rebel is out of my price range, but definaly a camera I want to pick up sooner or later. I am looking for something to play with, right now I have a Samsung Digimax 530 5.0 megapixel camera with 12X zoom, only 3X optical though. I'm looking for something I can use for more then 10 pictures ( this thing eats batterys liek no other ) and something you can lenses on. I take a shit load of moving photos, and this camera just cant take detailed shots like I want it to.

You guys have any suggestions? I probably cant afford much more then 450 bucks or so

canon or nikon are good choices.

also try the energizer photolithium batteries they seem to last quite a bit longer they run about 10bucks for 4 AA batteries

Does Sony even make an SLR?

Love the Sony's but everyone else's quality has become equal or better for usually a better price.

I have only taken it out to test it. It works fine, I was going to use it and ended up buying a much more expensive model since I need this for a local magazine that I'm doing

Why wouldn't he just return it to the store for a full refund?
Oh well, good deal on a stolen cam? :D I'd take it.

Next question, is he wants paypal payment. Do I send him via my bank and rely on Paypals BULLSHIT 1000 doller return policy, or go with a credit card and hope they do something if this guy decides to be a snake?

Credit Card all the way... then just pay it off right away if it's legit.

Yes, Nikon makes some good cameras.

I would try to find one that has rechargable batteries, saves a ton of cash in the longrun. My Nikon does :)

I emailed the seller back and he is more then willing to take photos and stuff for me. Apparently he bought it online some time ago and never ended up returning it within its 90 day period or whatever. I am guessing he used it some, but so far the pictures make it look like it is in great condition. I am gonna use paypal and a credit card and see how it goes. I sure hope its legit, I have wanted one for some time

Fuji makes excellent cameras. They were the only film based manufactorers to successfully have hands in both the film and digital side. Check out dpreview.com for a review of the camera and their test shots.
