View Full Version : Finally some shots of the Broken Axle

Just got my comp back and running so here are some shots of the axle that broke when it was at the track. are these cars breaking a lot of axles??? anyone know?

Im no metalurgist but.... In the Small engine field, a break like that in a clean line is usually the result of a heat treating problem. i.e. over hardened, very brittle..

With the number of metal things you've broken tom, I'd have thought you had a phD in metaurgy by now. ;)

You aint kidding! I think i will try out for a role in CSI as well. Having to figure out the Who, What, When, Where, Why's of various engine or drive line failures has put me at the top of the CSI list BWAHHAHAHAHAH:durr

I would of taken in for warranty work.. I was leaving a stop sign and bam then teh car didn't move.. That clean of a break is a flaw from the factory..

Kyle works at a dealership as a tech, i dont think he has any warranty concerns....
