this Saturday, August 26th 9am-3pm
Gates open at 7:00am
F&F Tire World (behind Southridge Mall)
Entertainment/Prizes/Food/Music/Silent Auction
$10 Car Registration - every class trophies 1/2/3 places
Spectators-Free admission
Proceeds go to Food Pantry/DARE Program/Womens Center

It was a very small show...much less than I expected based on hearing all the radio ads for it the past couple weeks.

The weather certainly didn't help, but at least we never did get rained on.

The poor Vette club guys that hosted this show must have felt threatened when I pulled in, as I was the one and only Vette there that wasn't in a Vette class.
Since my car was "too modified", they stuck me in a general '73-up modified class (judged), and as such, I didn't win a thing.

Odd thing is, I never did see a judge look at my car. Granted, I spent most of the day chatting with others away from my car, but I kept an eye on it, and during that time, 2 judges came by each one of the other guy's cars, and even made them sign their scoring sheets...weird.

To be fair the blonde was actually kinda cute. But the other one was not hot at all. I had thoughts of getting a pic with the car, but I didn't want to have that awkward moment when I told the one I didn't want her. And I definetly wasn't paying $8 for it.

I can get ugly women to be in pics with me for free anytime.

One girl actually came up to my GF twice and on the way out basically forced her to fill out an application. While she was filling it out the two girls sitting there by us asked her if her "boobs" were real. When she was done practically half the workers wanted to sit in on the interview the manager wanted to give here right there. We left of course

As for not winning anything, I got an interesting message yesterday from a guy in the club that hosted the event. He basically said there was a "radical error" made, and that I definitely deserved something. I never complained to them or anything, so my guess is they found my empty judging sheet after the fact.

I already know what happened...My car was never judged, (probably since I was parked with all the other Vettes), and mine was the only Vette there not allowed in the people's choice voting. So basically, I had no chance to win anything.

I haven't called him back yet to see what he offers me...not sure that I'll even bother. I really don't want one of their leftover trophies as a pity award. I don't go to shows wth the expectation of winning anything, so it doesn't really bother me anyways.

They did have weird classes. Or atleast the way cars were put into classes. For some reason that Monte wasn't in the same class as myself and fox_body. I don't know what class both of us were even in. I expected 73 and up modified. Cause I'm certainly not stock. lol

The judging was cool though. I'd like to do more shows like that. Nice to know where your cars strengths and weaknesses are.

Their show at Sindic in Muskego on the 9th will be judged also.
