I already cashed in 30,000 points for the applebees gift card which they have to mail it to you, and now I have 15,000 points it helps when you drive 31 miles one way to work in a Dakota that gets 14mpg, now I have my beater with a heater that gets 31 mpg so my rewards have been building up slow now..

Total 54,522 Right now I have 20,522 but I already cashed in 34,000 for a $50 gas card.

If you guys didn't know, you can cash points in in any other state but WI and get a gas card, not sure why there not available in WI. I think thats way better than a card to applebees.

My truck gets about 15 mpg, I drive at least 30 miles a day, plus what ever gas I burn in the car having fun, and my fiance fills up her cavilier on my rewards card too. Oh yeah, lately she has been buying gum and stuff that has like 200 bonus points and stuff like that.

I own a DJ and limousine service. Gas is a major overhead for us, at least there is some sort of reward.

did you scan your card? :)

if you didnt get your points, take your gas receipt in there and tell them about it. they can add the points on there.

Currently have 10,196 according to Speedway.com

I cashed in 19,000 of them for a $25 CC giftcard about 4-5 months ago and once in awhile I use the points for other things...

Don't they expire after 9 months or did they get rid of that rule?

I dont use speedway much anymore because I didnt like that they went with the 10 cent markup for each grade of fuel.... and their premium is 92 octane, where other stations have 93.... even though it is most likely the same thing.

Sometimes it just doesnt work, or it will say "balance will be updated later" .. and it never is.

Either way, we get screwed in the end for living in WI. In other states, you can use reward points for discounts on gas, or even free gas. (they may have actually stopped the free gas, but I will check)

Yeah, looks like they stopped the free gas.

Fuel Discount Rewards* Points Needed
10¢ Per Gallon Discount 1,750
25¢ Per Gallon Discount 4,375
50¢ Per Gallon Discount 8,750
*Discount good on one fill-up, maximum of 25 gallons

Also:
$50 Speedy Cash Gift Card 34,000
$100 Speedy Cash Gift Card 66,000
(Which we cant get because a gift card could be used for fuel)

I believe it was something like 25,000 points and you could fill up to 25 gallons free, but correct me if I am wrong on the points.

So thanks to WI's minimum markup law, no discounts on gas.

Hi, sorry, didnt see your post until now, forget editing it, ill just make another to keep things a little more organized.

Basically as I said above, the reason WI cant get free gas or speedway gift cards is because there is a minimum markup law on gas in WI (and a few other states around the US... not sure which ones)... The law was created a good 80 years ago back when there were many smaller stations that could not compete with the big ones... Those are all gone now anyway...

Even in other states, Michigan for example, speedway had a promotion that they were selling $25 gift cards for $24 I believe, but the promotion excluded WI. Why? Minimum markup.

But what I am confused about is that in the past, citgo used to offer free gas... (and they still might)... and they used to have $1 off 8 gallon coupons too.

Hmm...

Either way, Citgo is bad. Causes/Caused fuel injector problems.

Yeah it works out, I usaualy make it to IL at least once a year and thats more than enough time to get enough points to get the gas card. So I got my last one in IL and it sat in my wallet for a while and I used it in WI.

I have notice that a few gas stations were giving free food away with gas purchases lately. They said it was an alternative to dropping the prices which were regulated.
