lookin good, someone please answer for me, the street rod in like the 9th picture, is that a mercury? i've loved those cars, and never found out for sure. the one in gone in 60 seconds with the flame shooters out the rear was frickin awesome

Yes, that appears to be a chopped, channeled and section Mercury...

Nice pics Becky!! Did you happen to see a price on the General Lee? They had that car on Ebay before they jumped it, you could bid on what was left of it after the jump, but Ebay pulled the auction.

I don't think it's a Merc, looks like an Olds or Chevy. Hard to tell, it's been modified quite a bit.

Thanks everybody. It was fun.....even with the car trouble we encountered and the terrible construction on the way.

Is it just me, or does something look odd about that GT-500? Maybe it's the angle of the shot, but it seems like something is off.. maybe something different in the front end? I can't figure it out.

And I'd say it's a '49 ish Pontiac or Mercury

It was a pretty nice showing, didnt care for the rain til noon, but atleast it didnt rain the rest of the day like it did last year. I never caught your cars out there Becky. So much to see, I didnt really even see a whole lot from WI. Lots of Michigan Manufacturer plates and Ohio. Wish I could get some of my pics on here, but I shoot 35mm w/ no way to load on-line, and choose between the 400 something pics!!!!! The bad part is, you look at one car cruising, you miss 3-4 others around it. There is just so much to see out there. This was my third year in a row, I think I am gonna go to Road America next year, unless they change the date of RA to a different weekend. Then I would attend both. What problems did you have on the way?? Construction wasnt too bad, except for sunday on the way back.

Then I would attend both. What problems did you have on the way?? Construction wasnt too bad, except for sunday on the way back.

This was my third year,but not in a row.This was the first year that I drove around alot though.We had the GN,so I doubt you would have seen us,as there were alot of GNs out there.

We got stuck in Chicago for a good 1 1/2 hours.The Blue Angels kept flying over,so atleast we had something to watch,lol

We ran into construction in Mich,In. and Ill. on the way back.

the red 70 442 is on of the cars they used in the movie demolition man with stallone...very cool car, part of gms historical collection. also there was gnx number 001 also part of gms collection...very cool stuff!!!

How many Ford GT's and GT500 Coupes or Convt's did you count out there....? I lost track I saw so many! I would say anyone who cares alot about mustangs should attend. A friend of mine went along, who is also a ford guy/mustang nut, got tired of seeing so many mustangs! Where was the Roush set-up by the way.. I saw GM's, Chryslers, and Saleen's displays, but did not see Roush or Ford. I seem to miss those each year. They must be off of Woodward aways?

that whole scene on woodward and that other cruising strip (can't think of it's name, but around there) is awesome this time of year.

I was in Detroit a week before woodward last year and I never seen so many bad ass cars out there.

in literally 15 minutes I tangled w/ a '55 bel-air, a '69 Camaro SS, a '70 Trans Am, a '68 (I think) 442, a duo of '70-'73 camaros, and a '98ish C5 vert. the GTP fared well, but I'll always remember it as the best night of my "car" related life. the cars I say cruising, racing on the strip that night, I will never see again. and never will see anything like that in Milwaukee.
